Re: Retro Stoneleigh Convention '95

No probs. I really used to enjoy Stoneleigh. All the cars all over the roads, in the cattle sheds and the indoor show area was good. Even during my first outings to capri shows, 'too young in the 80's to go' but 94 on you could see the dwindling numbers year on year.

Re: I never knew!

I know of one Mk3 3.2 Broadspeed Turbo Capri that has been restored and attends shows a lot , there are also 1 or 2 Janspeed 3.0 Turbos being restored at the moment , SOO636R , The Mk2 3.0 X that featured in the Professionals has also been found and is being restored Without starting any Capri wars...

Re: I never knew!

How about this. Aero dynamic project. MA-PF11 eventually becoming the MK3. I know this might not be what you are thinking. As in its a prototype but I wonder what happened to this?

Re: I never knew!

I think from my research on Turbo Capris. Ford called the Zakspeed Capri the RS2800T. This car uses the Cologne V6 and is a Turbocharged 2.8 unit. I believe ford first started development on the car in 1975 on Xpack MK2's. I think figures were around 155 cars being made, there should have been 200 b...

Retro Stoneleigh Convention '95

Found these pics I took from Stoneleigh in '95. Thought I'd share them for nostalgia. Apologies for the quality it was one of my first shows. I used to really enjoy Stoneleigh seeing all the cars parked in the cow sheds and along the surrounding entrance roads. http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k4...

Re: Lowest Mileage Cars

Has anything ever been seen of the unregistered 280 that was being trailered around? That must be one of the lowest mileage ones. I knew of a brand new GL that is unregistered but I have never looked at the speedo, don't know if that's still at the same place it was part of a private collection of st...

Re: Capri Fun for BTCC driver Adam Morgan

Ric Wood make there own custom cylinder heads. I would say this is defo a reason why they can up the power soo much. Suppose it also depends how bored out the engine is and whether or not it is a full blown GAA which has 4V per cylinder. Ric does some mighty magical Capri engines & vehicles. Wh...
