Re: Bangers and cash Vs Car SOS
The second paragraph should read Tonights Bangers and Cash that should make more sense to you :) Right, thanks Andy. That does make more sense. It's interesting to read everybody's thoughts on the subjects on Car SOS. We shouldn't forget that it's a TV entertainment show and not a documentary, I th...

Bangers and cash Vs Car SOS
Well, where do I start. Few seasons back car SOS featured a Capri MK1 that was completed by Legend Ric Wood. Woman couldn't finish her dream car??? Tonight's SOS same woman selling raleigh choppers and kiddie cars to buy a shrunk down F1 car. I might add also had a barn full of stuff including other...

Re: Bit of a Blast from the past.
No problem guys, I enjoyed it and agree where has it gone? You've all probably been going a lot longer then me but my first show was 1994/5 at Stoneleigh, parking in some cattle sheds. Been to loads of various Ford shows since but that was the most exciting. It was called a convention, the cattle sh...

Re: Capri Among The Best....
I must say they are dissappearing fast now aren't they, there's a lot of crap around for silly money. Doesn't matter what you buy whether it's 2k or 10k, they all need a 20k restoration and that's a Conservative estimate to make show quality. I'd it was my I'd but a tatty body with all the right par...

Re: New Car Programme on TV Soon
I like them and try and watch them all when I can. I think the new series of Bangers and Cash though looks a little bit like left over footage, maybe because of coronavirus I don't know if thats the case but it certainly looks infill. Watched SOS the other night, RIc Wood at his very best AGAIN, I w...

Re: 40 Today - National Car Buying Day
Ah okay so in essence I have to wait until April 1st? The way I understood it was that because mine is built Jan 81 I could only apply for historic status or whhatever its classed as in the April if the car was built Before January 1st 1981 Ii.e. 1st of January 1980 upto 31st December 1980. Therefor...

40 Today - National Car Buying Day
Well my car is finally at that age. My 3.0S Janspeed Turbo was first registered on 11th of Feb 1981 although it was built 10th of January. Am I right in thinking it won't need to be MOT"D now but will need to be taxed until January next year? Strange thing is with that date it's previous owner ...

Most of the filling station forecourt groupies won't even notice.
Also there are plenty of 1.6 Laser 3.0s's but I suppose where it falls down is there aren't any that I know of 3.0S to 1.6 Lasers. At least its a Capri...

The most ridiculous review
https://youtu.be/tvEmccRPYoo See what you guys think of this. Opel Manta nearly 8k when new, LS capri not quite 5k. One is a slightly spec"d up base model, the other is top of the range model. Now F-*ff and find a 2.8i Special which would have had a showroom face off and come back with an answe...

Re: MG MICRO BLISTERING BIT OFF CAPRI TOPIC
I`m afraid It could simply be that the lacquer is beginning to fail due to age / UV exposure etc? Roof & bonnet suggests that. If the lacquer is blistering it`s unlikely that a DA will solve the problem, you may just `shave` off the blisters and leave matt dots where the basecoat`s exposed. Whe...

Hi mate, I've nott used a cover on it. No I havent tried a polisher or anything like that yet or compound. The...
