Re: 2.8 radiator

Don't bother pissing around trying to shoehorn any other radiators in there. Have your original radiator triple cored.
We do it with all the performance cars that we build now.Looks original and does the job extremely well.

Re: Has anyone had any experience of rolling on paint?

I have seen the link and it does look presentable in the pictures but that's only half the story. It's not something I would ever consider but as I've already said it's your car so do what you want with it but why ask for opinions if all you really want is for people to agree with your views. My opin...

Re: Has anyone had any experience of rolling on paint?

Obviously your idea of quality and mine are vastly different but it's your car so whatever! It's just a shame that with the cars ever dwindling that they're not being looked after with a view to the long term. It didn't matter 20 years ago as Capris were ten a penny - not so now.As I said, it's your...

Re: Has anyone had any experience of rolling on paint?

Painting a car with a roller! fucking hell I've heard it all now. Just checked the date and it isn't an April fool so I'm assuming you're serious. Don't bother, if you can't afford a decent job then wait until you can because getting the crap off the car once you've rollered it on in order to proper...

Re: 2.8 servo wanted

To fit that master cylinder you will need a 2.0/3.0 MK3 girling servo. I have some in stock. The 2.8i uses an ATE servo and the stud spacings for the master cylinder are different to the ones on the girling unit.

Re: help with numbers

I agree. I bought a 2.8i many years ago and it had no numbers whatsoever in the floor. The owner stated that it was a reshell using a brand new shell. Chances are that if it has been reshelled properly into a new shell then you will have a car which won't have suffered the countless bodges that will...

Re: rs wheel caps

If your wheels are genuine then I have some caps. They will need refurbing but they will fit.Sounds like you have either got pattern caps or caps for the Fiesta alloys.
The caps for the proper Capri alloys are the same for both 13 and 15 inch rims.

If you'd have bought a rack from a seller that could carriage it then you wouldn't have a problem.

It's obviously not working correctly as the pull towards you is for the headlamp flasher. It shouldn't have got a MOT if it was in that condition.

The fuel cap should have a vent hole in it to prevent this. Maybe a dodgy fuel cap.

Re: Overheating or not? I can't tell.

Almost all overheating problems with the 2.8i are down to clogged radiator or poor circulation yet the answer is always to bung on an electric fan!
Get the basics sorted and you won't need to go down that route - cure the problem not the symptoms, it's not difficult.
