Blue tooth water temp sensor - any ideas

Hi I want to put a small temp sensor on the cooling system, powered from car battery and able to send signal to my smart phone when I am in the car so that i can just keep an eye on exact temp rather then rely on the standard random gauge but can find any through google search, etc. Has anyone come ...

Kris at Surrey Capri club is also asking for any Capri clubs to let him know so we can synch numbers on the day as he needs minimum numbers to get brooklands to allow access to certain things so we should make sure we combine

I had to take my manifold off to get them out but I am sure someone has an easier method, good old ford design for maintenance again :wank:

I have not seen anywhere a descrition of an internal battery on these radios, they have a permanent live from battery which maintains the code memory and a switched live

Leave unit switched on and powered up so you can see the dashes for at least 30 minutes, they should then start to flash at which point it will take the code. Will send you a picture from the manual once i work out how ro upload images.

Hi Andrew,

Drop old soldier a mail, he is really helpful and will tell you if he needs the key or not. Some locks have a number on them which he can use to then provide you with a new tumbler set so it will work with your key

I have used this guy for a full set of door locks, boot lock and matching ignition lock. Quick turnaround and reasonable price and will help with any problems. Highly recommended

Use new gaskets with some rubberized sealant, nip the fastners, allow the sealant to cure 24 hours then retighten the fixings

I used KMI, they do a lot of these units, i went to their workshop, very professional, do WURs for all sorts of cars. I think tickover just send them to KMI as well

You can purge the old tank nick to remove all the petrol fumes so you have no risk from any sparks. I did mine by using exhaust gas from a diesel car to purge out all the petrol fumes and then did sone welding on it, i am sure tickover can do something for you to purge the tank so it is safe to tran...

I got one from Martin as mine was on way out as corrding on top, the new ones are really good quality and painted to a good finish

Unless yours is known to be in good nick i would definitely get one whilst available even if it sits in the box a couple of years
