Hi Capri is going into garage for the winter which is about 1/2 mile form my home, going to put a remote camera on my daughters house which overlooks the garage, also want to put a tracking device on the car so if any scum back gets in the garage and tries to move it I am alerted. Re: rear quarter window sealing
Its not something Chris has done, the windows were sealed with mastic so they were left alone when he did rest of car. I am happy to sort this out now in the summer, its not leaking or anything but hes made such a good job of the rest of the car I want to make sure anything like this doesnt spoil it.

Re: intermittent wipers
I love this forum, you always get the right advice from someone. Gave the switch a really good pull down, and I mean with a heavy hand as I was on the page of it will fix it or kill it. hey presto, the thing now works.
Thanks very much guys, another easy fix done

intermittent wipers
hi all, I know this will be obvious, how do you operate the intermittent wipers. the switch shows 2 positions going up which works, push for washer which works and then the switch has an arrow going down for intermittent but the switch cannot physically go to that position. I also have a spare...

Re: rear quarter window sealing
Just had a good look at it. On the other side, the vertical trim allows the horizontal trim to go up to the glass, on the passenger side the horizontal trim is overlapping the vertical trim hence why it cant go right up to the glass so i need to take the trim off, does it just price off?

Re: rear quarter window sealing
Just saw your reply Andy, mine is bedded onto sealant, so should there be a foam gasket at the back which would in effect bring the glass a few mm further out or are you saying the outside trim should have some foam on it where it touches the glass

Re: rear quarter window sealing
Thanks for the photo Peter, does yours have a rubber seal on the inside or is it a bed of sealant straight onto the frame recess.

Re: rear quarter window sealing
Doesn't look like the trim is properly fitted, it has a kink in it?. Might even be the upright trim is not right. This is mine https://i.postimg.cc/qM3Z13tt/DSC-0442.jpg I will take a closer look at it now I know nothing is missing, how does that trim come off? Will also check that the window is se...

Re: rear quarter window sealing
Hi all mine is stuck in with the black sealant and like Mr B, the plastic trim on the outside touches the glass at the back but has about a 5 mm gap at the front where it joins the vertical trim. just looks like somethings missing but maybe this is another one of those Ford designs that we need to o...

rear quarter window sealing
Hi,
Can anyone share pics or info on how their Mk3 rear quarter light windows are sealed, the type that do not open. Mine seem to be bonded in and then there is a gap on the outside face where the plastic strip does not meet the glass, is this normal, can water get into the car, etc

Good to see you are on the case, I know sometimes things look worse in different light and also digital photos really do enhance things sometimes, just wanted to make sure you hadnt overseen the obvious as this is easily done sometimes when you are focused on the detail and you have definitely taken...

Hi Nick
looking good under there, on your first photo, is that rear bumper kinked inwards in the centre, it must be an illusion as I am sure you would have noticed it yourself before

Re: Windscreen Cracked
Hi John,
I had mine done about 3 years ago and they did offer different tints and one with the sun visor strip across the top, I think the 280 was a green tint.
Sent you a PM about the weekend, just let me know whats best for you

Re: Windscreen Cracked
Hi I had mine done by autoglass, they had them available straight away in the different tints and with or without sun visor strip, only thing you have to make sure is that they get a new seal as well as mine was too perished so had to wait a day for them to get a new one. Same as the other post, £75...
