has anyone come across a weber carb on a 2litre that makes some sort of screetching noise?? mine is and its driving me crazy!! any ideas,ps i have already ruled out the alt because i tried it with the belt disconnected

yeah it is on most cars where the heat sensor is mounted on the engine block rather than the rad or manifold,i`m not to sure where it is in the 280 ,most of the old fords use a copper head sensor and it acts like a heat sink if theres nothing to cool it
