It does a bit like its got some crap in it. Check the internal filter. Under the big (19 or 17mm) brass nut under the inlet and outlet pipes. Maybe that needs cleaned out. Also as above I'd check the points gap too and make sure they are in good condition.

You can get a fibreglass one from Smith and Deakin, much cheaper and won't rust.

Love it... always wanted a C5. Keep it nice I'm sure they will be worth a lot in the future. Might be worth adding a wee flag on a long antenna to help lorry drivers see you when on the road.

I worked briefly for an insurance company which covered home contents. This is the sort of thing people would claim for quite regularly, so if you have insurance give them a call and see if they'll cover it.
