Re: Fitting a 38DGAS carb to my 2.0ltr Pinto need advice!!!

Good stuff! It should go on without any problems, keep the spacer block from underneath your current carb. The 38dgas has two idle mixture screws rather than just the one. When setting your mixture just make sure you move BOTH screws and by the same amount. Also make sure your adjusting them both in...

As Peter said, emulsion tues = F50's, Air Correctors = 185's. Float/needle valve = 2.50. make sure the float height is correct too!

Re: Supercharger project

congrats! its looking good and sounds good too! you might want to look at your vac signal to the BOV- its either too weak or pulsing. you could put a weaker spring in the BOV but you may risk it not holding shut under boost. or you might need to get a stronger non pulsing vac signal- or a combinatio...

Re: Click click, click click

you say youve swapped startes but its still the same, so to me it sounds like for some reason youve got a tight spot- wehther it be on the crank journals/ bearings, cam shaft or front pulleys or something like that. maybe remove all the plus and turn it over by hand, see if you can feel it tightenin...

Laser Alloys set of 5, with center caps

A set of original laser alloys with the original center caps. Tyres are NO GOOD. They are cracked and deformed! I might be able to put on a small pallet and you could arrange a courier to collect. These were rubbed down and painted about 10 years ago. have sat in a shed for the last 6 years. could d...

Shark Grey Recaro Leather & Cloth Repair sections.

Iv found some pieces of Leather from an old set of recaros I had. I must have had this lot left over from refurbing my own seats. Theres two bases, one has small burns. The other looks fine. Both have the foam with them. Theres two lower left seat pieces (has foam included) and two lower right piece...

'S' seats, Black cloth grey/silver striping

Ive had a bit of a clear out. I cant remember if these are S seats? both front seats recline and tilt properly. runners are included. Drivers bolster is showing signs of wear but isnt too bad. The lower foam has collapsed and would ideally be replaced (not too difficult to do). The rear seat are all...

Re: non vacuum distributor

vacuum advance gives you better economy. on a run (like cruising on a motorway) the throttle is only open a little bit and vacuum in the manifold is high. if the ignition timing is advanced during this time fuel economy is increased. the vacuum advance dizzy allow this to happen. if removed your eco...

Re: Supercharger dry fit

Keep up the good work, youl get there in the end. Yes i do run dump valves, the non recirculating type, i didnt want to dump all the hot compressed air back into the charger, it already gets hot enough! In fact i had two valve side by side and they still arent enough to prevent the charger from stal...
