Re: New purchase 2.0 laser & new member.

I have not change a mirror on the Capri for years but this is from my head ( must be wrong ) you point the mirror all the way up and use a piece of flat plastic to unclimbed from the bottom . Or was that the Escort ? Somebody on here will no . And good news is they sell them at Trago Mills at Newto...

MK3 Passenger door mirror glass

Does anyone know of replacement glass for a standard passenger door mirror or even if the casing can be separated from the glass? The reflective surface on mine has part worn away (my fault as I got carried away with a polish and didn't realise how thin the mirror surface was) :crying:

Re: New suspension bushes.

Thanks for the advice and insight Andrew; I can see the practicality of replacing the bushes with polyurethane replacements. Hello again Nige, It's best to get opinions from various sources, so wait to see what others have to say. Agree, informed decisions and all that. Seriously considering alread...

Hi Nige,
Replacing the probably well aged bushes on your car is definitely a good idea. New ones will definitely firm the car up.

Thanks for the advice and insight Andrew; I can see the practicality of replacing the bushes with polyurethane replacements.

New suspension bushes.

Hi I want to replace the suspension bushes on my laser with the standard rubber ones and wondered if anyone had done the same and could suggest the best supplier? I see Tickover do some and but I also note Polyurethane bushes are a popular choice. However, I don't want to end up with a hard jittery ...

Re: New purchase 2.0 laser & new member.

:agree: Andrew. The easy to access and prone areas have been done but realistically, the windscreen corner/scuttle is an area that in the near future, will need to be addressed properly, ie new metal repair. I don't have the skills or equipment to be able to carry out that so I will need to find a g...

Re: New purchase 2.0 laser & new member.

Hi Jason Thanks for your supporting words. My wife and I went out for a short drive this morning as the weather was lovely. A chance to enjoy the Capri! I then bought some kurust and have been busy today putting it on the small areas under the windscreen rubber, by the scuttle and a few other places...

Re: New purchase 2.0 laser & new member.

On a less positive note, I've just spotted the dreaded rust bubble at the base of the windscreen, by the rubber and another one close by on the scuttle. Does anyone know how best to access these areas from inside or underneath? I want to try and stop the rust, if I can! Nice looking car but I'm afr...

New purchase 2.0 laser & new member.

Hi Well I've had my Capri about 2 weeks now and I'm loving it. Driving it makes me smile and to me, it seems so involving after driving soulless modern euro boxes. So far, It's had a good wash and polish and been cleaned thoroughly inside. I've managed to get the dash lights working (multi plug was ...
