Welcome to the LaserPage. A very nice car you have, the previous owner looked after it well.
I'm sure you will have plenty fun driving your 2.0S

I might be logged-in a bit more often rather than just lurking seeing as I'm now semi-retired as well as being part-time.
Anyway HOW'S NAT DOING and HAS HE STILL GOT THE CAR?????

Re: What are these holes for? What size bolt?
Those holes are for mounting a SUPERCHARGER BRACKET
I put my coil-pack on the inner wing just next to the washer bottle & run the HT's along under the strut brace, less heat & vibration & keeps the engine tidier.

That's a cute car no doubt. I had a champagne gold 1.6LS until some geezer T-Boned the nearside when I was off out dancing :-( Factory auto which you might expect down under with a 2.8 battery tray to suit that system. Radio is one of the original models available. Dashboard is cracked but who gives...

Re: Clutch cable
It could just be a camera lens effect but the clutch arm doesn't look to be sitting flush with the release bearing in the top photo - going along the lines of Peter's post. There are also at least three different Capri release bearings (front-to-back dimension,) all of which will fit in there but gi...

Welcome to the forum.
The drivers mirror is bigger because it has the adjuster mechanism inside.

Re: mot extensions
tests are indeed suspended for six months: It would be stupid to suspend all MOT tests for 6 months because there wouldn't be the capacity at the end of suspension for everyone who's test had run out (half of cars over 3 years old ) to get a test straight away. I read the initial report as that the...

Re: When did the "S" become a Laser?
I used to have a book on Capris that iirc said that the S suspension was very slightly uprated from standard pinto specs. I lent the book to the guy I got the black S from & he lost it - or his wifey binned it. Not in any way biased here but the S in black was/is always the best for bodywork. Wh...

Re: How do we make an all electric capri
The potential for ricochet was minimalised by the downward trajectory into, and the momentum-absorption of, the preliminary cowpat.
Splatter-Pop-Splatter sums it up.

Re: How do we make an all electric capri
No pressure build-up but definite environmental impact upon the environs of my back garden. She probably picked it up when out walking on the saturday night ( no wine corks here ) before new year & decided it tasted good so down it went. Wouldn't eat or drink on sunday/monday & anything atte...

Re: How do we make an all electric capri
My thoughts: Most leccy cars will likely not be sold via a dealership so no transport costs, buy online & either collect in person or have the car deliver itself to your door. In around five years, maybe four, there will be autonomous cars everywhere which will take themselves to the nearest ava...

Re: Axle location kit help
Anyway, back to the nitty-gritty of the subject in question; I have occasionally considered the fine line between grip and no grip, traction and wheelspin. A mixture of how soft the tyre rubber is, tread pattern, tarmac surface, rotational & lateral forces...… and also the forces due to gravity ...
