Re: HOW MUCH!!!
Judging by the photos and description, this car looks to be a good buy. I can't see it hanging around for long. Andrew. Hi Andrew I've read a number of posts recently looking for the 280 in particular, if they are serious its probably going, gone already... Des The receptionist thinks it sold over ...

Re: What's the best colour for a 2.8i?
I'm split between the original (red) or dark metallic grey (perhaps bentley's hallmark silver)
I saw the jag caviar in person and close up & it just isn't sunny enough in Manchester for it to look it's best!

Re: Capri 16s
Hi I didn't attend the auction, however prior to going to auction the car was for sale with a dealer. We had agreed a sale, however I subsequently learned from speaking to someone on this forum that it had been re-shelled & hence I felt it wasn't worth the price that the dealer was seeking. Inci...

Re: Matte paint, anyone?
I have a few weeks, but as yet I haven't been able to decide what colour to paint my Capri. It's currently in it's original (faded) red. I don't mind it but it doesn't excite me, and is perhaps louder than I'd like. I've toyed with jaguar's 'caviar' & audi's brown, both excellent IMO but also co...

Matte paint, anyone?
Just wondering if anyone has, or has come across a Capri in one of the modern matte paints?
I can imagine that a graphite/grey in matte would be suit the car's shape.

Hi, Is this the caviar colour you are thinking of? http://www.dorsetsportscars.co.uk/stock_images/631/thumbnails/DSCF1016_610x458.JPG Andrew. Yes that's the one, although it looked a bit more towards the brown end of the spectrum when I saw it on a wet cloudy day. Apparently the sun makes it look m...

Where have you found to bare metal the car for you? I'm in Manchester too.
A fellow forumite from Doncaster is doing it for me. If you'd like his details, I'll gladly ask him if he's happy for me to forward them.

Re: What's the best colour for a 2.8i?
:?: I really can't decide....I'm very taken by the Jaguar colour I've mentioned previously. They also seem to look fab in Blue - the colour of yours, Andrew, is lovely. I too am thinking that, with 80K on the clock, she's never going to start a bidding war if I ever do need to sell, so I may just go...

What's the best colour for a 2.8i?
Hello All I'm having a 1982 2.8i restored back from bare metal. The car will be for my own pleasure, rather than to sell, however In case I do need to sell it one day, I don't want to have it painted the 'wrong' colour. So I have a few of queries.... Are any colours considered 'better'? Is there a w...

Re: Tidy, Honest Ford Capri Wanted
Hi, Very nice indeed. I do think that red is one of those colours that really suits the Capri. The interior looks in very good condition as well. Personally, I think it needs the pepperpots put back on, but you may have a different view. From what you have said in previous posts, I think you've mad...
