Re: More than just a flooded carb...
Thanks for the update Jim, at least some sort of progress is being made and/or you are discovering some of the problems. Are we beginning to assume that Tickover may be at fault here, or is it too soon to say? I suppose from their point of view they would say that they can't be held accountable for ...

Re: Can't Beat a Capri
Hi Mike. Yes, I drive my car frequently all year round, always have, which is what I enjoy. You can't live in England and worry about the weather. I try to keep away from the worst of it but I don't fear it. I've never been too concerned about salt and it hasn't done anything that is apparent. I try...

Re: Very strange Number Plate
It is odd that one NIck. Try as I might, I can't get it to 'sound' like anything, doesn't make sense as a name, and doesn't seem to stand for much. Unless it's a personal nick name or somethng that no one else will get? Or maybe the letters are a particular style like some are to make it appear as s...

Re: Clarke Low Profile Trolley Jack
Thanks Nick. Yes I'll mention how I feel about it once I've had a good chance to play. You've obviously been studying the different ones that are available, and like you I too was amazed at the low height that this one has. Seems like a decent piece of kit, and a good price too far a jack at this le...

Re: Capri 1.6LS on Ebay
Exactly. It's just like at any other auction, you don't bid at Sotheby's or wherever, then when it comes to pay change your mind! Why don't people only bid if you intend to buy.andyd wrote:

Re: Clarke Low Profile Trolley Jack
Thanks for the replies guys. My main criteria is the low saddle height, as I always have to drive the car onto blocks/ramps of wood to give more clearance. I did look at the jack in the link, it looks great but I still think I'll go for the original Clarke one which I posted due to it's low starting...

Stolen White 2.8
Capri stolen just the other day, posted on the CP forum - http://www.capripower.co.uk/forum/index.php?/topic/36331-stolen-capri-a512tyk/ Thought I would link to it here, there's always a chance someone will spot it somewhere. The more of us that are aware the better obviously. It's a shame, nice car...

Fair point! But I meant lucky in the fact that the CP member had his car chosen for TV work.

Re: Clarke Low Profile Trolley Jack
Thanks for the reply Dave. I think I will go for that one, seems to be the lowest minimum height that I've seen, especially at that kind of price, lowers to just 75mm.

Phil Blundell at Capri Care MK restored the car.
