Hi,
You can buy these from Burton Power. I'm pretty sure you can still buy them from Ford dealers, but unless you know the FINIS number, you'll most likely be met with blank faces at the parts department!
All the best,
Andrew.

Re: Rear speaker replacements
Andrew made a very good job of replacing the carpet in his not long ago so I may ask him for a template and details of where he got the material again. Hi Nick, I've recently got hold of original carpets which I've fitted to my shelf. You are welcome to have the carpets that I have removed ( the ac...

Re: Where do you get your parts?
Hi,
I get mine mostly from Martin at Caprigear. I do buy from Ebay, but it can be a little hit and miss with sellers that you haven't dealt with before.

Re: Torbay Car Show Easter Saturday 2015
Hi Andy, Great pics, thanks for uploading them for us all to drool over. Love the Aston and the rare BMW Z1. I remember seeing one of these parking on the road years ago, and the door action even drew a crowd! Although the best cars by far are the XROC cars. We're in for a treat at Simply Ford! All ...

Hi,jcanty85 wrote:Must go check out the realay today. How hard is it to replace a faulty stalk?
Remove the steering column shroud, then it's just two screws and some electrical connections, if I remember rightly.

Re: New Series Of Car S.O.S.
I didn't know the Cossie owner had complained. Can't blame him. I would have been just as hacked off if somebody had dragged my non-running rusty colander of a car (that never would have been done otherwise) out of its makeshift final resting place and restored it... Mike, You can't beat a bit of s...

Re: Incorrect speedo reading :(
Hi,
You do need a different speedo drive gear. The 2.0 item still may not be 100% accurate as the 2.0 and 2.8 gearbox ratios are different, but it should be close enough, I would imagine.
All the best,
Andrew.

Re: 2.8 Thermotime Casting WANTED
The listing for the part says it came from a 2.8 Capri so if nothing else materialises it could work assuming the seller is right about where it came from. Hi Mike, The part looks as though it should fit, and could be used as an emergency spare/ temporary back up. The only extra requirement will be...

I have bought a part from Nial Diamond in the past and agree that it was a pain-free purchase. I'll phone around some suppliers a...

Re: 2.8 Thermotime Casting WANTED
Hi All,
I've just spied one on Ebay, but the auction doesn't end until next Saturday. Typical!
It's also from a Granada by the look of it. Granada and Capri parts appear to differ with the angle of the smaller water outlet on the top of the casting.
Still Looking....

Hi Mike,
Thanks for providing the info. At least now I know what the thing is called, it increases my chances of obtaining the correct part!
Perhaps in the future the club can remanufacture this part. If not, the future may indeed be bleak.
All the best,
Andrew.

It's behind the dash, around where the hazard switch is. It's a black three pin relay.

2.8 Thermotime Casting WANTED
Hi All,
Does anyone have a thermotime casting for a 2.8? It must be in very good condition.
That's the one that the temperature sender screws into, alongside the top hose from the radiator.
Needed urgently, please let me know if you can help.
