Re: Aerials...

Nothing beats the majesty of an automatic aerial rising unaided from within the wing whenever you turn your radio on.

Re: Peoples view in the jba javeln

Agree. Shit.

Even if you happen to like the styling you would forever be explaining to people what it was, which would be boring.

Re: New Exhaust

The Capri Club do a range of exhausts that are fair value for the money. I had a club exhaust for a while and it was OK. Had a Janspeed (mild steel) on for the last 10 years and cannot fault it. Well worth the extra money. Good sound, not chavvy. Pay the extra for stainless if you intend to keep the...

Re: Stater Motor

If the bolts hold the motor on OK when you tighten them back up, then try a bit of thread locker on them first. Should do the trick.

Re: electrical question

Radio/tape/CD player. Rear boot courtesy light not switching off when tailgate closed? Electric aerial fitted? Alarm. Put a multimeter in series with the battery in ammeter mode and see if there is more than milliamps being drawn. With everything off there should only be the clock drawing a small cu...

Re: child seats

Congratulations! Just been through all this with our first. I found the factory-fit rear seatbelts on my 2.8i were too short to reach around the larger cradle-type car seats where the baby faces backwards. The way round this was to put the baby seat in the front instead - not a problem on cars witho...

Hello after 10 years

Just rejoining the forum after a long gap and a bit of lurking. Used to post a lot when Mark started it, and its nice to see all my old pearls of wisdom still here if you go back to the first few pages on Q&A. At the time I was doing loads of stuff to my 2.8i so usually had something useful to a...
