Re: Nassa Car and Truck Festival, Kingswinford Rugby Club
Hi Mike, Looks like a great show, you were blessed with the same good weather we are enjoying too. Good weather makes a show & the quality of cars on show looks great. Plenty of capris there to enjoy & I like the muscle American cars too. Glad you enjoyed it, the truck mural is awesome, glad...

Re: 2.8i family restoration
Hi Andrew, Capri is currently on axle stands with fuel tank off. We found out it doesn't run too well when fuel pump is choked with rust.. I've ordered a tank rust treatment kit from Frost so will give that a try along with the new fuel pump & relay I've just fitted. It was running roughly befor...

Re: Peers.dupp's 2.8 injection (Updated 7/6/14)
Great looking car Andrew. Looks like you really look after it. I like the fact it's kept looking as a capri was meant to look with no mods. I enjoy seeing a well executed modified car as much as I like to appreciate a hardly driven concourse example, but a pristine example of a capri that you're not...

Fuel Accumulator
Hi guys, Can anyone please help us, we have just removed the fuel tank on our 2.8i due to internal rust clogging fuel pump. Don't know whether to change fuel accumulator now it's exposed as it looks quite rusty. Does anyone know if this is a common item to fail on capris as it's an expensive item, o...

Re: 2.8i Restoration my project ongoing
Hi Mart, Just found your thread. I can see where you lost that 18 months! Looks like you've not left a stone unturned with this project. Your car looks about as good as it gets, great colour & interior retrim. Engine bay looks top notch too, you must get a lot of satisfaction driving this car ar...

Re: 2.8i family restoration
Thanks Mart, Been to a few shows lately, Swansea, Cardiff & Tatton park to see the standard of capris on show. Had a chat with a few of the Cheshire Capri club guys in Tatton who were most helpful. These guys own cars that they're not afraid to use which is what we want for ours. I want this to ...

Re: 2.0S Daily Driver
Love this car, had a 1981 X reg 2.0 S in same colour years ago. It had grey strobed fishnet recaro's, was my 4th capri & my favourite. Those new wheels look good against this colour.

Cheers Mike, Thanks for help & encouragement so far. Good luck with your own car, I'll keep referring back to your pics for reference on how it should look.. Yes Andrew, I'm in RCT South Wales, been looking for a Capri for a couple of years, bought this in Cardiff as it's the only one I've seen ...

Re: 2.8i family restoration
Thanks Andrew. Bought this last month, pictures make it look great, it's a fixer upper which I'll be doing with help off my 2 boys. Feels really great to own one again after too long a break. We plan to restore it to original spec, keeping the same colours & restoring the body & interior to ...

Hi Col,
Have contacted a few couriers & the items can only be shipped if palleted & fully protected & wrapped. If closer id borrow a van, but distance not really viable. Thanks though for offer, has to be someone on here closer that needs these. Cheers & good luck.

Cheers Mike Yes, ebay has become my new best friend.. I'll try capri gear too. I'm useless at posting pictures but my son placed it on classicford mag's Facebook page today where it's busy collecting likes, it's a blue over silver special and seems to have brought back a few memories for quite a few...

Re: 2.8i Special Interior Refurb.
Thanks Mike, Appreciate the link, just measured the seat backs & they're not quite wide enough to cover the bases, good call though, cheers. I've only just recently bought my car, it's a project that I'm going to restore with my sons, it was their persuading that got me to buy it! I realise, loo...

Thanks Col for fast reply,
I'm interested, but I'm 300 miles from you in South Wales. I'll ring tomorrow to get a price on a courier, see if I can work something out, cheers mate.

Re: 2.8i Special Interior Refurb.
This is a superb job of my favourite capri interior, got to be happy with it. I'm currently restoring my own 2.8i special. Can you please tell me if you had the cloth inserts replaced or were they the cleaned originals. I need new cloth front seat bases for mine, can get leather repaired easily it's...

2.8i Special seats wanted.
Hi, I'm a new member & just bought myself a 2.8i special project. It's not in too bad a condition but really needs new half leather front seats in good condition. If anyone knows of some I'd be very greatful if you could put me in touch, many thanks.
