Re: 3.0S
At the Mathewson's price it was a restoration project, at the price it is now I would be expecting something ready to drive that needed some work as and when needed. I agree with that. When I first read the listings, I got mixed up and thought the Matthewson's sale price was what the new seller was...

Great idea!Jasonmarie wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2024 11:09 am We could do £10 a member and a signed photo of you on your sit down mower ? Or a free tea towel ?
As you've already donated you can have one as a freebie.

Re: 3.0S
Sorry Andrew, I`d assumed that was clear: I do apologize for any perceived association ;) No worries! The more I think about the advert the less it makes sense to me. The roll cage, motorsport-type electrics isolator and the CC Racing Developments sticker on the boot lid all suggest a modifi...

Re: A funny forum passtime...
There's usually around 30 requests a day that I ignore because they are not genuine. 30 a day! That's crazy! Why not suggest that every application is supported by a £5 Paypal donation? That would help support the running of the forum and weed out any non-genuine requests. I don't believe that to b...

Re: A funny forum passtime...
Does it show who has actually logged in as well as posted? I can understand not posting, but making an account and never logging in is a bit (AI bot) weird. You can painstakingly check each one individually to see the date of last activity. Of the last 25 people to join the forum, 17 appear never t...

Re: A funny forum passtime...
Just curious, how do you even find new users if they`ve never posted? (Probably my being thick...) Click on "Members" in the blue bar at the bottom, then sort by join date. Of the last 25 people to have joined, 7 have actually posted. While I'm boring everybody with stats, of the 382,845 ...

Re: Dim/Dip Relay
Martin is an excellent source of parts, although I rather suspect that Saul is searching for new as in NOS parts.

I sometimes do that too.
On the most active topic of today's birthday boy, Nige commented in disbelief that there are three Capris for sale at over £10K in the classifieds of the club mag.
How times change!

Re: 3.0S
I'm not sure that I believe the seller's description of this being an "unmolested" example.
Still, the price appears to reflect that it is potentially a base car for a restoration.

Does anybody know why that sticker was there? Has anyone seen anything similar? Did you buy one, Tom? https://i.postimg.cc/dtLFnPK5/WP-20240217-15-42-14-Pro.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/9QHWf8v1/WP-20240217-15-42-26-Pro.jpg I compared the ERS 34 to the aftermarket one on my car, and it's identical in e...

Re: expensive 280 on Ebay
Saw that a few days ago, all their cars are way overpriced  Only 6,214 miles though. Only two owners from new, and the second of them would have been far too young to drive it..... "The first owner was Ford themselves who registered the car on the 1st August 1987 followed by Mr Pow...

Re: RIP Steve Wright MBE
What a shock! I was listening to Sara Cox and they were all in tears. I heard that, it was very touching. It just goes to show how highly regarded Wrighty was, as every single presenter I listened to today cried when reading tributes. Even Jeremy Vine couldn't keep it together, and he's a consummat...

RIP Steve Wright MBE
I was sad to hear of the sad passing of Radio 2 presenter Steve Wright.
Steve must have been one of the most amusing presenters that the station has ever aired. The afternoon slot was never the same since his axing. We've lost one of the giants of broadcasting.
RIP, Steve.

Re: Hybrid cars
Is the charging managed through a regenerative braking mode, where a motor linked to the crankshaft acts as a generator when the engine is slowing, recharging the hybrid batteries? That way are you harvesting energy that otherwise would be wasted? That's all I know. Please direct all technology enqu...
