Re: Public Information Films

On the subject of train safety, I'm fascinated by these street running trains that run in some of America's small towns. I would imagine that the H&S police in the UK would have a fit with massive freight trains mixing with traffic and pedestrians on the public highway! BRZkMoi2at8 Andrew.

Re: Feeling safe at night

In other words, the last thing you want to be doing is "feeling safe". It's not even crime, anything can happen out there, something can fall out of a high rise building, a car could suffer some catastrophic defect and go hurtling off the road, the bough of a tree could snap off and fall ...

I thought I'd post this here as Tim Shaw is mentioned in the article: https://www.msn.com/en-gb/cars/news/car-sos-hosts-tim-shaw-and-fuzz-townshend-advice-to-all-classic-car-owners-in-2024/ar-BB1k1D7P?ocid=msedgntp&pc=DCTS&cvid=1f07408fd04d473dab7fc8182f0a9517&ei=8 Tim actually makes a g...

Re: RS 13 INCH RIM CODING

The car has the original rims on at the moment with wheel trims and centre caps. I have had the car for about 2 months ,brought it at a auction, good car just needs a bit of work. I actually would prefer the original rims , but to re chrome wheel trims and centre caps and get rims painted its cheap...

Re: A funny forum passtime...

There's nothing written in this thread that would cause offence. All that's been written here is to draw attention to the original posts. What has been said on those posts is down to the individual. I'm sure most people on this forum have written something that they find embarrassing now. I certainl...

Re: RS 13 INCH RIM CODING

I have a 73 MK1 Capri ,are these rims to modern for that car. Hi Gary, If you are asking if they will fit your car, the answer should be yes. I'm pretty sure they're Capri wheels as they have tapered wheelnut seats. The middle photo shows that they are 6Jx13. That's a 6 inch wide rim with a diamete...

That's great!
Hopefully the later than planned date will increase the likelihood of decent weather.
If I remember correctly, the last two years were dry and sunny but very cold.

I wonder how the members would feel if/when they pop back though and see that they're being talked about? :? Probably the same way that current members feel when they have their punctuation errors criticised? Besides, the person being discussed, "Leafy" is clearly an account set up with t...

Today's winner should have gone a lot further than it did, I remember that thread, but I don't remember the colossal levels of utter tripe that the birthday boy contributed to it, nor "the owner" (yeah right) of that stolen Capri chastising us for not dobbing in this Simon Cox guy to the ...

Thanks for the heads up, I'll check out Edd's book.

I will hopefully still be able to make the revised dates, but not all of my favourite local shows have publicised their dates ...

Re: Radiator/expansion tank cap

To be fair, car cassettes were by far the worst, I don`t recall ever having problems on a `proper` home machine. I guess the in-car environment didn`t help: cold, damp, vibration. I wonder if the cassette being laid horizontal in the car had anything to do with it? They might have been designed to ...
