It cut out when stopping at the roundabout, not going around it. It cuts out when idling.

Flipping Cutting Out Again
Well friends, here's one for you. Got the carb cleaned and replacement fuel pump about a month ago, since the engine was cutting out after about fifteen minutes. It was running sweetly since, but today was a little cutty-outy. I cut out at a roundabout when I slowed to a stop. I also tried f...

Difference between a GL and a Laser
Based on a question about the LS vs Laser, here's a sister thread testing yeer knowledge on this one.
What's the difference between, say, a 1986 Laser and a 1980 GL?
Did the GLs have sunroofs ever? Middle console? Five speed? Six clock dash?
Bug et. al., let's be having your knowledge goodo.

Mullets and mark IIIs seem a good match to me. Both classic 80s chic.

Re: Rear Diff Fillup plug
Bug, I wonder if my setup is different. The plug isn't in the cover, it's in the body of the diff. Would have to do a lit of ripping to get it out.
Anyone else seen this setup? The plug is defo bigger than 3/8.

Re: Rear Diff Fillup plug
Mine is stuck at the moment, and the diff is now dry as a bone.
And you know, I'd swear mine needs a bigger square bolt. Its bigger than half inch, I think it's 5/8.
Anyone encounter one this size? it's an 86 Laser.

Re: IS this a first??
Lucky you weren't wearing it at the time. I had a whole trouser leg whipped off once drilling a piece of wood. Serves me right for wearing fashionably baggy chords while doing work with power tools.
I was working away, and suddenly was half pantsless. All I could do was laugh.

Not bad I suppose, it certainly beats 40 pounds sterling anyway!

Thanks for posting that. It's pricey alright, but if my hunting for a cheaper alternative fails I might have to spring for it.
