The back plate isn't rubbing on the disc is it Dave? They can be very close to each other especially if it's bent a little. :agree: The back plate isn't rubbing on the disc is it Dave? Re: 1987 Laser Wheel Stud Replacements
Oh you've already had it done? Just thought I'd point it out in case you weren't aware and were planning to DIY it. I had a go at doing mine, but it's a very close fit on the back with it all in situ. Yeah, I’ve had it done since starting the thread. Your info will be invaluable to someone down the...

Front Wheel Droaning Noise

The car has done this since I bought it in August before and after new additions listed below: *new track control arm bushes replaced *new front wheel bearings replaced *new extended...

Re: 1987 Laser Wheel Stud Replacements
I think you need to take the halfshafts out at the back part way to get the new studs in if they're longer btw. Unless anyone has an easier way? I've done my fronts, but the back will get done when I get around to bookign it in for mot + rear wheel bearing replacement. I didn’t carry out the work. ...

Make sure you upload pictures once you've done it! I've got them fitted on mine and love the look, shame I never see many other people fit them! [/quote]

Thanks! I’ve emailed the usual haunts. There are extended studs out there, I just need to find out what is the standard size on mine.Caprigear wrote:2.8i studs aren't any longer. Ford used to stock slightly longer studs but I don't know if they still do.

1987 Laser Wheel Stud Replacements
Hi I’ve recently fitted some 7.5” JBW RS4’s on my Laser. The original studs are just a little too short. They accommodate the wheels fine but I’d prefer that little more thread. Does anyone know the size of factory Laser wheel studs and has anyone fitted new studs to accomodate RS4’s? If so what siz...

1987 Laser 2.0 radio cassette removal

1987 Laser Paint Code Advice Please
Hi Firstly thanks for accepting me! Great forum! I have a red 1987 2.0 Laser. The paint code code is R5? I've trawled Google and searched on here and believe it is Rossi red!? I'll be spraying with a gun and compressor. The existing base coat on the car is yellow. Pit marks make this apparent and gi...
