Re: Halfrauds yet again
Yes, it's a good place with a good assortment of stuff, as long as you know what you want and don't need to ask the children for 'help' then you are ok!

Re: Halfrauds yet again
My Halfords is just like my McDonald's. Boys and girls walking around laughing and joking seemingly not knowing why they are there. They don't sell burgers though.

Re: Car Cover Damage
I bought a car-o-port from Hamilton Classic's and every year I have to buy 3 new fans for it and I'm not happy about that, it's a con if you ask me!!!!!! :deadhorse: Are you sure that you are being sent brand new ones? As I mentioned in my first post, the cover they sent to me had been previously u...

Re: Car Cover Damage
The car was bone dry when the cover was put on. Can't believe some of the damage that covers can cause, looking on the net. I'm just glad I was able to fix mine.

Re: Car Cover Damage
I'm relieved to say that I was able to fix this. Tried all sorts, but boiling water did the trick. In brief, I let it trickle onto the affected areas, and let it dwell there for just four or five seconds then wiped it with a microfibre cloth. As it evaporated, it took the marks/faded areas with it. ...

I wouldn't but anything from Hamilton Classic after the treatment I have had from them. See my first post above, for info.

Re: Car Cover Damage
I have tried polish in a small area just to see, but it made no difference. Yes, some advice I have seen on the net about this also said to leave the car in the baking sun. Wrong time of year for that! You sure know a lot about all aspects of cars Stave. Previous to putting the cover on, I had washe...

Re: Car Cover Damage
Thanks Steve. I have had the car for well over a year and it has not had paint in that time. Although it has had some in the past (haven't they all), as I can, at times, see slightly different shading. I did notice, that when removing the cover, there was dampness/wet in those areas, which rings tru...

Car Cover Damage
I recently bought a car cover from Hamilton Classic. An expensive one, £176, waterproof and breathable, etc. Had a terrible time with this company, first they sent me one that had already been used, second hand, it was dirty. When I questioned it they said that it wasn't second hand, it's just been ...

You can buy new, from Capri Club. Or try Martin at CapriGear, he will sort you out I should think.

I too think that it's a white one that you need. Your local car shop will most likely get it for you, mine did.

Re: Can a exhaust leak by the manifold cause a misfire?
Just take it to a local garage, tell them what the problem is, and/or ask for a quote to sort it, and they will book it in as a proper job. They will then look into it and either fix it for you or tell you that they can't. In which case you move on to another one and try again. Nice and simple. How ...

Goodness me, it's so hard to read and understand posts that do not have any punctuation.

I'd check the switch, perhaps it's either stuck on or just, erm...knackered?

Re: Can a exhaust leak by the manifold cause a misfire?
Would it be worth saving up for a little while, then taking it to a local trusted garage, they might find the issue in a day and you would have it back all done and ready to drive. Just a thought, would be worth it if you have reached that point now, sounds like you have had a good go yourself.
