Re: Laser + GL and now a 3.0S!
We are all so busy, that's all I ever seem to hear these days, with everything! Longer lead times for stuff, longer on hold times when you phone someone, longer waiting times when you need something. Was at the dentist recently and a guy come in with a problem, he was told there's a wait of around ...

Do you happen to be on any medication at the moment.
Actually looking at the original pic, I can clearly see the face too. I need a lie down.

Re: Who Remembers?
It's a very good point Andy. I can imagine the classic car mechanic will become a very specialist thing. Like now, if you have a gramophone from a hundred years ago that needs a repair then I'm sure you could find someone. Might not be easy but they're out there. Otherwise it'll be teach yourself to...

Re: Who Remembers?
Halfords is exceptional for some stuff, such as their spray paints, I've found them to be superb colour matches. But I wouldn't speak to anyone in there if I can help it.

You can still get stuff like that, it's just that the shops have changed. The pound shop types and the bargain stores for example, I was surprised recently whilst in a Wilco to see a range of spray paints including exact colour codes for a car of mine. Nice retro can, not being thrown away is it?! A...

They do get to an age where it's just one thing after another, especially if it's a daily. Most people, especially 'non car' people would get rid as the trouble begins, for obvious reasons. So well done for hanging on!

Re: Who Remembers?
That's so true as regards to how we survived back then, kids playing on building sites and rubbish dumps, playing out all day covered in mud and going home only for tea, then back out again somehow having a game of football in the dark. And going everywhere on your bike with no safety gear. Yet if a...

Nice story. And it's never too late you know, you could still recreate that little escapade and finally complete the adventure.

It doesn't help at all but that was funny!
Have you tried CapriGear, even if he doesn't have one he may be able to offer some help/advice.

Cool looking bike Paul. Wasn't it great to just get out there on your bike, nowhere to go but just ride for the fun of it.

Ignore them, and see for yourself I would say. I'd wager you'd have no issues, like me and many others. Good luck with your progress, bet you can't wait to get driving.

Excellent Mags Kids round our way used to improvise with various things in the spokes, to make as much noise as possible.
