Re: How bloody thick?

It always makes me laugh when they say you can't have bull bars on the front of your 4 wheel drive because they could injure a pedestrian, I think if you get hit by a 4 wheel drive the bull bars are the least of your worries. :)

Re: How bloody thick?

I had a chain steering wheel on my custom car in the 70s, it looked great but driving with it was a different ball game altogether, it was uncomfortable and nearly ripped my fingers off when I hit a deep pothole and the wheel yanked out of my hand. The next morning it was off and a proper one fitted...

MK 1 Heater control fascia

Probably a long shot this one, I am looking for a heater control fascia from a mk1 pre facelift model, I need one so I can take a template off it so I can produce a reproduction decal. I have been selling mk2 and mk3 heater decals for over a year on e bay and have just been messaged to see if I coul...

Forum sticker to replace tax disc.

As some of you know my son is co owner of a sign and print company and he produced the Lewis Collins memorial stickers that some of you purchased. I was talking to him last night about possibly producing a forum sticker. If there is enough interest we will see about mocking one up.Any ideas would be...

Re: The old Sorn issue again

Well I took the bike for the MOT yesterday and it passed so I went to the post office in the next town and explained to him it had been on sorn and he said no problem looked at the log book and taxed it. The only thing I can think of at my local post office is he was under the impression I wanted to...

Re: The old Sorn issue again

I have looked on the DVLA website and found nothing so I will just get the MOT done and apply online and see what happens, I could understand it if I wanted the tax to start in September.

Re: The old Sorn issue again

It's going this week for test so I will try and tax it online, the guy in the post office was adamant he was right about it, he must have thought I was Dr Who.

The old Sorn issue again

Well I have had my motorcycle off the road for a few months so I put it on Sorn, the MOT had run out but the insurance is still in place. I have now got it ready for the MOT so I popped into the post office to enquire if I could tax a vehicle there that was on sorn, he told me I could tax it but I w...

Re: Modern car security LOL!

Back in the 80s I used to wrap a chain round the brake pedal and through the steering wheel with a padlock then after having my stereo stolen I put plywood with nails sticking through under the seat covers, trick was to remember they were there lol.

Re: could be nothing but?

Check the clip on top hose is tight where you have had it off of the stat housing, it might be leaking when under pressure.

Re: dangerous subject this.

It's took me 50 odd years to realize that no matter who holds the balance of power non of them have ever benefited me, I have always been a Labour supporter and was once a member of the party but I can't stand the leadership. Think I will vote for the Capri owners party, you know it makes sense.

Courier Service

Had a wing delivered today by TNT and it arrived in perfect condition without any boot prints or dings in it, as luck would have it the driver was into classic cars and he own's a Ford Escort Mexico, he told me he is always careful with car panels and that made my day. :) :)
