Nick,
You're begging Mrs Fordoholic Nick to drive the Capri? You must be confident of her ability to handle the car! :)

Re: NOS Parcel Shelf

Hi, You certainly wouldn't be able to support speakers like that in an original shelf, even if you were crazy enough to cut out the holes. I've always said that the CCI shelf is more practical, but it would be nice to have an original shelf to put in the car when displaying at shows. I agree that th...

Re: NOS Parcel Shelf

Hi Dave, Parcel shelves in this condition will only get harder to find as time goes on. It seems strange to say, but I think if it sells for £600 or so it will be a good buy for the winning bidder. The prices will only rise in the future. Sadly, I'll have to be content with my CCI replica. Good find...

Re: NOS Parcel Shelf

Hi Nick,
It'll be interesting to see what ir sells for. My prediction is over £600.
I think that the seller has chosen the perfect time to sell to achieve the best price- just before the start of the show season.

All the best,
Andrew.

Hi Peter,
Great spot, what a clean original-looking Capri.
Looks like the owner is a member of the Capri Club, even if they aren't on this forum

All the best,
Andrew.

Re: Brake problems

Hi, Alex's experiences go to show that you really don't know what previous owners have fiddled about with/bodged up until you have chance to go over the car with a fine toothcomb. In the case here, the proper spacers can be purchased from The Club for only £14 for a set of four, yet the previous own...

Hi JC,
It looks like the oil is leaking out from the engine somewhere. Is that any help to you? :)

Seriously, I hope you find the source of the leak soon. There's nothing more annoying than seeping fluid that defies all attempts at a repair.

All he best,
Andrew.

Re: Can't believe i'm selling my 2.8i Special

Hi Neil,
I agree with Andy's advice. Don't contemplate a price reduction yet, the car is too good for that. I'm guessing that the offers you've had must be speculative derisory offers for someone to make them without even viewing the car to assess it's true value.

Good luck with the sale,
Andrew.

Re: Warm up regulator

Hi Burt, As Neil says, try cleaning the gauze first, it's likely that is causing your problem. The warm up regulator sets the mixture using a spring. I've found a site with photos of the inner workings that describes how the spring can be adjusted, but you do need a pressure gauge to test the system...

Hi, Welcome to the forum. :welcome: I've gone as far as reading some information on Evan's waterless coolant, but haven't done anything else about it. Personally, I feel that the benefits that you describe do not outweigh the downside of cost. It costs around £130 to fill a Capri 2.8. The only perso...

Worst Car Accessory Ever?

Hi All,
I spotted this sort of thing on a small pick-up the other day (photo is for illustrative purposes only).

Can't say it's something I'll be rushing out and buying.
