Re: Ford Probe / Cougar

I doubt it. The Capri was a very popular car, and then a cult icon. The Cougar and the Probe were never massively popular and didn't have any cult status so I can't see them becoming particularly collectable. You never know though. If I was going to have to bet on one of the two it would be the coug...

Hi,

Of course it is :)

We have a few regulars on here that found out about this forum and the annual show as a result of a note left by another user.

I had one in my Mk2. It was attached to the passenger side windscreen pillar. Very useful.

Re: Dixy's Capri

A sad turn of events indeed. I've seen a few shells on here in the last couple of years that just couldn't be shifted so the owners either cut them up for repair sections or just scrapped them. Unless it's a mint shell (and hence shouldn't have been broken) there isn't much of a market for them. Why...

Fact is that rubbers don't provide full protection against t...

Re: M.O.T work

That's a pretty good fail :), i'd be happy with it. Any fail which doesn't have corrosion is good :D As above, you can probably tighten the wheel bearing a little bit to keep the tester happy. I'm really not sure what he means by "bushes insecure" though. I'd try to get more info from him ...

Re: Message for major Tom.

A camera down my cock?!?!?! Fck sakes. You're kidding me right? Not a camera, it's like a small cotton bud. They use it to check for pus cells that can show the presence of gonorrhoea and other forms of urethritis. It's not nice but it's not that bad. Well worth doing, especially if you're ...

Pardon my noseyness ;) I've been a few times, find your local one here: http://www.nhs.uk/Service-Search/Sexual%20health%20information%20and%20support/LocationSearch/734 Usually it's a good idea to get there 30 mins before they open if you want to be seen quickly as it's always been really busy ever...

Re: Anyone know how to work the windscreen washer jet mk1 ca

My US spec mk2 had a foot pump for the washers so I'm guessing all the mk1s did too although I've never owned one.

No idea, but it looks home made. Where do the wires that connect to it go? That should offer some sort of clue.

Re: Where Are All The Uk Capri Clubs Based Lets make a list

Hey, There is a list on the Wiki that anyone who has a forum login can edit: http://www.capriwiki.com/index.php?title=Clubs Or Click the Wiki link at top left of this page, then click Culture and then Clubs. The idea of the Wiki is that is can store this can of information in an organised form, wher...

but ford never did a 1300 pinto :D They did, here's the wiki info on it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Pinto_engine#1.3_.28TL13.29 Not sure if it was ever sold in the UK though, I've definitely seen at least 1 on ebay. I imagine it would be pretty crap though, such a heavy engine producing so l...

Re: Cyclists!

I'm a driver, a cyclist, a motorcyclist and a pedestrian, and I can appreciate the complaints from all angles. Sadly all these categories have a lot of bad examples, people who don't follow the rules of the road and put themselves and others in danger. The fact is though, it's illegal to cycle on th...

Re: COne filter instead of airbox on 2.8i

Does anyone know if those "electric superchargers" work? Theoretically it should work..... with the electric driving the turbine rather than engine or exhaust gas..... would be interest to know if anyone has tried one. The cheap ones you see on ebay might show a slight power boost at idle...

Re: COne filter instead of airbox on 2.8i

I don't think it's possible to do away with the air box on a 2.8i. The K-tronic injection system has a metering head which is right above the panel filter in the airbox. This lifts due to the air coming in to determine the fuel mixture. If you removed the airbox you'd have nothing to attach the mete...
