Re: Crazy world

I suppose in my heart of hearts I believe there is something basically wrong with a world in which if you`re born in one region and happen to have a pretty face you will have unimaginable riches poured upon you for just basically existing. If you`re born on the other side of the world you will be v...

Re: Leather dash full cover

It does just that. Its a full skin rather than a cover, i.e it something that is glued onto the surface of the dash to provide a new outer surface. If you search Ebay for Capri leather dashboard or similar search words you will find them as made by GF Customs and will also see mine on there 2nd hand...

Re: Recaro shark grey seat material

Your request and the title appear to be 2 rather different things. To ensure the right responses it may be best if you clarify Are you looking for the striped cloth for the inserts for a 'half leather interior' i.e from a 2.8 Injection Special (nominally 1984 onwards) or One of the 2 types of cloth ...

Leather dash full cover

2nd hand leather dash cover. Covers the whole dash (obviously not the instruments ;) ) in grey leather. I bought this a couple of years ago but used too weak a glue which allowed it to go baggy. After taking the dash out of the car I decided on a change of plan and went for the CCI hard plastic repl...

Re: Dash Lighting

Note to anyone else dojng this - you do need to unscrew at least one of the small gauges on each side to safely remove the blue plastic things. If the blue lenses haven't already gone brittle through age and heat then any pressure from the back risks damaging the gauges before the lenses start to mo...

Re: Tickover Pt 4 - The Next Chapter

I put a Kent FR32 in a late style pinto head a few years ago. It will really unlock the potential of a nicely ported head whilst remaining very civilised and tractable in traffic.

Re: Tell me about: Mk1 Ford Capri

Mk1 Capris are pretty strong on the whole and they are generally easy to work on and no harder to live with than a Mk2 Capri. If you are comparing it with other classic coupes of the same age I can say from experience it would compare quite favorably with say an MGB GT though the parts may be slight...

Re: Wanted: Ghia Carpet in Brown

Blimey, seeing brown carpet and trim reminds me of the time in the late 1980s when i transplanted a brown Capri GL interior I picked up in a scrappy into a Mk2 Escort estate. It worked surprisingly well. The original Escort carpet was serviceable and the right colour so i reused sections of the Capr...
