13" wheels
<t>I have some aftermarket Italian four spokes which have 15mm extra offset compared to laser items and they look similar, these do take the Caprisport 260mm discs with Ford sliding calipers also giving me an inch extra front track width. Does anyone on this page have a black LS which was at the fir...

Take the whole lot
as the sierra blocks are stronger than Capri blocks and will stand overboring & high tuning etc. Oil it up and stick in in your shed, you or a mate will need it one day.

I don't suppose you young pups will remember the Dog of two heads album or Piledriver?
The original low mpg stuff before ice was even conceived and the Quo are still touring.

Timing
<t>You're getting a spark when you have unburnt mix in a cylinder at the same time as the inlet valve is partly open. That bulge in your K & N was made by a quarter of the same force which pushes you and a ton of steel along at 100mph. Check you have the HT leads correctly sequenced especially a...

Adhesive
sound deadening material pads stuck underneath would help. Advertised in auto magazines i.e. Landrover owner etc. Same effect as the black stuff stuck under the bowl of a stainless steel sink. (I knew that plumbing lark would come in handy )
CODE LETTERS
<t>are stamped on the no. 4 exhaust flange to indicate an unleaded model:<br/> P, PP, R, RR, L<br/> These are the ones I have noted down so far from various sources.<br/> I don't think a pinto 's' head would have hardened seats, as far as I remember it was 1986 when Ford started fitting them which i...

A plumber looks at mine
<t>every time I use it! Well ex -plumb really 'cause I sell fish now. I would do mine this way if required and if I didn't have a spare in the shed; wire brush, emery paper and some strong active flux to get through the rust. Just make sure there's no trace of petrol and you're well away from the op...

I've been using a
<t>Fuel Cat for years and have never had pinking even when fiddling with the timing for more power / smoother running. There are rumours that you'll still get valve seat pitting using just a cat and unleaded but after about 4 or 5 years of thrashing around mine still goes o.k. and after this length ...

To do a proper job
<t>run till empty, reverse n/s/r up a ramp then take the sender unit out and have an experienced plumber clean it up and solder coat it. This can be done at a much lower temp than welding so shouldn't distort or damage. If the steel pipes have one leak, there's a good chance that after being taken d...

<t>on removing heaters in this months CCI mag which came this morning, 'wonder if someone's been looking in here. If I were to find a working heater at a breakers yard then I'd grab it with both hands. 59 for a new motor from GMS probably plus p&p. Got to be a better deal at the scrappy and you ...

<t>sells batteries. They ask if you want the one with the one year guarantee sir at X.00 or the two year guarantee sir at XY.00. You think "I'd better get a two year jobbie" and tell him so.
