Third time lucky I got the right one !

<t>Partco have come up trumps and got the correct one but it wasn't easy as the part listed under Capri in all their catalogues leads you to a two terminal type. So if you need a new starter I suggest that you take the old one with you and explain clearly about the terminal configuration and get the...

OK I've fixed this problem

You can now only post adverts if you are signed up member of network 54. This should prevent most time wasters and spammers attacking the board

Important Notice about Web Site Upgrade

<t>Dear forum user<br/> Because of increased spamming on the Bravenet service where I hosted the For Sale boards I have decided to relocate them over to Network 54.  This means that if you recently posted an advert then you need to repost ASAP.<br/> The good news is that I have upgraded Network 54 s...

Yes there is still a lot of confusion

<t>Partco (who a brilliant by the way) checked every book and cross reference and came up with the same part number which gets you a two terminal one from a Sierra. So I am scratching my head a little bit at the moment. We are trying one more supplier who has suggested a different part number (AC De...

It shouldn't matter how much the car is worth

<t>if it is the other drivers fault then you should claim the repairs using your own fully comp policy. You pay 100 excess which you company will recover for you from the other drivers insurance. Elephant shouldn't care one hoot about the value of your car. It should be no loss to them or to you. I ...

My Capri has failed the MOT big time

Not sure about this one<br/> <br/>...

Also check the vacuum tube

coming off the carb and going to the distributor. If it is perished or has a hole in it then you can get similar effects to the ones you are describing. Cheap to replace from FORD (make sure you know the length as they cut it off a roll)

New starter motor issues

<t>Hello everyone<br/> <br/> I just got a new starter motor for my 2lt laser as the old one keeps refusing to work. However despite looking very similar they are, on closer inspection different. The new one is quite a bit longer than the old and the casting is very slightly different. More important...

tempermental starter motor

<t>my starter motor on my 2lt laser usually works fine and the car is very easy to start however very occasionally I turn the key and nothing happens.  At first I thought this was a problem with the immobiliser but it's been checked out and is fine.  When the key is turned the ammeter drops so there...

strange things happening with my headlights

<t>I just noticed that the front lights are doing srange things.  With the headlights on both the fog lights and one of the main beam lights are very slightly lit up - I mean so you can barely see it.  I think it also happens when the indicators are on as well.<br/> Is this an earth wire to chassis ...

I have upgraded the package today !

<t>I have just upgraded the package today to a maximum of 200,000 hits per month.  So the good news is that the adverts will no longer be a problem.  The bad news is that it now costs $99 per six months just to be advert free!  So if anyone is interested in a T-shirt or coffee mug to help out please...

The reason is this....

<t>This site is so unbelievably popular that this month it has exceeded it's 100,000 page view maximum.  Once this happens Network 54 stop the advert blocker and the adverts reappear.<br/> The only solution is for me to fork out even more money (100 per six months) to have unlimited advert free page...

You got to chose the right plane !

<r>we were very lucky this time on Cathay Pacific.  Didn't have anyone sitting next to us and the toilets at the back of the Cathay Pacific Jumbo are very quiet (the galley is in the middle).  There is usually a baby changing toilet which is much bigger but still a bit tight.  It was possibly the mo...

Greetings from Taiwan !

<t>Hello everyone<br/> I'm currently on the other side of the World with my fiance Bonny.  Just about to meet the future in-laws as we're getting married on 30th October back in the UK.  I can't update the laser page right now but I do check the messages everyday and glad to see that the Q&A boa...
