Fair enough, in that case I'd just go elsewhere. As mentioned, I have seen other negative reports also.

Touring Car Legends - Capri

There is a programme doing the rounds on ITV4, it's been on before I think, might have even been mentioned on here. Anyway, for anyone interested, there is a decent Capri segment. Fantastic to see them all speeding round the track. Good programme actually.

Re: Why is Caprisport such a twat

Is this another case of just pick up the phone and speak to him and get what you want, no trouble? If I was a trader I don't think I'd bother with email if I could help it. Far too much trouble, wasting time, none replies, spam, non genuine mails, etc. Not that I'm suggesting that's happened here, b...

Re: Anyone been for a ride out today?

Hope your MOT goes well, mine flew through with no advisories! It always makes me chuckle when I see that Andrew. No disrespect intended, none at all, but it simply passed. There isn't a grading of flying through, sailed through, breezed through, etc. It just passes :) It's like they don't totally ...

Re: 20w50 and 10w40 mix

Why on earth would you want to use two different oils? I can understand your reluctance to use 20/50 during winter, but I can't for the life of me think why you would want to ditch the 10/40 for the summer. Just my opinion, but be safe and use 10/40 all the time, there isn't a reason not to.

Re: What's Your Method Of Lifting All 4 Wheels

Gear and diff oils sorted now. Using 4 axle stands didn't work for me, wasn't happy that the ground was level enough, one always seemed not sturdy enough or 'loose'. Front on ramps and stands at the back, I much prefer. On a sidenote, using 4 wooden 'ramps', if only 6 inches high (anything bigger wo...

In addition to that it can be beneficial to open up a simple text program, like Notepad and paste your text into that and save it, just until the post has been successfully made!

Funnily enough, I have sort of been looking at other houses to potentially move into, and there is one with a large garage with an inspection pit. Very tempting!

Yes, very true. When jacking with a trolley I will push forward on the handle just enough to coax the jack to roll forward, as it should do. Because, like you say, something has to move, it will either be the jack, or the car.

Re: worried about driving the capri

Just think though, the more work you do on it, and the more you fix, the more reliable the car will become as you can rule those things out from causing issues again, for the time being anyway. Plenty of people use older cars, including Capri's as daily drivers. You are only here a short time, do wh...

Re: What's Your Method Of Lifting All 4 Wheels

I think I saw the ramps you mention, or a similar version whilst looking around on the subject. I know what you mean Steve about these giving ideas, it's what prompted my initial post, seems to be so many home grown ways of getting the car in the air, I thought there would be people on here doing so...
