Re: Heater unit question

One thing that no one seems to mention with the Capri heater, is just how good it is with the blower turned off. Just the car moving gives easily enough 'draught' to clear a winter steamed up windsreen. It's far, far better than a modern car for that!

Re: Original Ford Wheel Nut Covers

Mine, which I believe are Ford, look just like the one in Andrew's centre pic, but, as Steve days, are shorter. My covers for them are 19mm deep and when on you can't really tell the difference unless you're up close.

Re: Original Ford Wheel Nut Covers

Thanks for looking Steve. I was wondering about those Land Rover tools previously, but they are not hexagonal though. They are circular, and as such locate around the circular part of the Land Rover lock nut cover (behind it, with a lip), and not the hexagonal.

Re: Original Ford Wheel Nut Covers

I noticed that the Ford locking nuts need a cap of around 17mm to fit snugly. In case you were not aware, there are a couple (at least) of different lock nut cover depths. I know this as I bought some a little while ago as a couple of mine were a little scruffy. Took me a while to find the correct ...

Re: Original Ford Wheel Nut Covers

Hi, Are you still on the lookout for an original cap removal tool? Thanks Andrew for the link, appreciate it. Yes, still looking out for one. I have seen a couple of sets, just like in that link, but as such the price is a little high for me, for just wanting the removal tool. So I have been thinki...

Re: engine oil

I've used 10/40 for years in pintos as did my dad with no adverse effects, never had a worn cam or a blocked spray bar, personally i always thought people used the thicker stuff to hide the sound of a worn engine 10/40 is listed on numerous things, including on this very site's Capri service page a...

Very true. And in fact, their warranty was void if you used anyhting but 10/40. Be careful of using 20/50 in winter especially, according to the Ford oil chart (which you can find on here), it's not to be used in temps that are far below zero.

Very true. He's done more for Capri's than any of us could dream of. New parcel shelf anyone?

Re: mixture on 2 litre laser.

...disconnecting and plugging the vac on the dizzy can you please explain in more detail how I go about that. There is a small hose which is attached to the dizzy. It just pushes on, so pull that off (twist it a little if it's tight) and plug it. You could just use a small phillips screwdriver push...

Re: WANTED Any Ford Capri, £1500ish

In addition to the above, it is always worth keeping an eye out (and/or asking) at your local general car dealer/seller. They do crop up from time to time at those, one close to me who sells all makes had a nice white Laser which I had a drive of prior to buying mine.

It will be the same person, probably bought a new charger, and as Apple have a cynical tendency to change connectors when they update anything, he would have had to have bought a new Mac to go with it :D

Somebody else was wanted/lined up for the role of Bodie but was replaced by Lewis Collins. Yes that was Anthony Andrews.
