Re: Capri 1.3 mkI tuning project

if you have the skills to tranplant a YB in along with the electrics then you have all the skills to fit a Vauxhall Corsa electric system to your existing column. Quickracks for capris are VERY hard to come by. Haven't seen one in years.

Re: Bumper Glue

Agree with Martins best solution but if that isn't an option, try using some black bumper repair filler - I have a tin and have used it on all sorts - dries hard but still flexible. Comes in a yellow tin with some hardner in a tube inside.

Re: Bluetooth that works

my wife has one that clips on her sunvisor - cost a tenner and works perfectly. Bonus is, if she uses my car, she just unclips it and puts it in mine - battery lasts weeks on standby. Me? I'm a miserable old git so no-one rings me so I haven't got one

I had this trouble when I built that P100 Peter, in the end I went with a Sierra XR4x4 one which are still available new.

Re: Worst customer service I have ever had

In the interests of balance, I've been dealing with him for my brake upgrade. I had ordered the Brembo kit. Upon using the fitting template, I discovered the amount of spacing needed for my wheels was greater than I was willing to live with. So I have changed my order to the GTR280 kit without an i...

I would only use Ferodo D2500 pads in my Capris. Very reassuring bite IMHO

Re: Anyone got a 2.8i turbo technics?

As above, i am no TT expert but lets start with it certainly sounds like nothing to worry about. I know tuned Pinto's like to breath heavy and need a catch can with breather so maybe that is the solution?

Re: Worst customer service I have ever had

Hi. Glad a name was mentioned in the end, as its all too easy for someone to jump to the wrong conclusion and think its one of the good guys on here and stop using them ! Never dealt with Capri Sport myself and see no reason to change this as Martin always sorts me out :) All the best Nick Name n s...

I will personally testify that Mike's interiors will be 100% quality. Over the years, he has done steering wheels & door cards for me in leather & each time they were BETTER than I expected. Shame you are moving away from the brand but I understand the reasons. GLWTS Mike.

Call Clare at A Plan in Thatcham. If she is busy, ask them to get her to call you back. Don't ring any depot, it has to be Thatcham as they specialise in modded classics. When you speak to her, tell her SmokeEm from oldskoolford told you to call. I'm sure she will sort you out mate

Re: A sensitive topic... (warning, huge post inside)

I think I would spend some of the money visiting the Husband with your Wife before he too passes. Seeing you & meeting the lady that makes you happy might just mean the world to him - you could also visit her grave/scatter point to pay your respects? Just a thought.

Re: Laser Decal "Stripes"

Vermilion - DMB graphics will sort out the fuel sticker for you. Nick, THAT orange stripe is to me what makes your car unique and personal which I like. Remember Mikes Alfie 2.8? Purple 2.8 decals made that car unique. You could do similar to yours? For me, its all about being different. Cheers Dav...
