They do get to an age where it's just one thing after another, especially if it's a daily. Most people, especially 'non car' people would get rid as the trouble begins, for obvious reasons. So well done for hanging on!

That's so true as regards to how we survived back then, kids playing on building sites and rubbish dumps, playing out all day covered in mud and going home only for tea, then back out again somehow having a game of football in the dark. I had issues with mine whereas the car would randomly cut out. I would have to disconnect it and reconnect for it to restart. Put the original back on and all ok. Used to be someone on here called Jim, he had issues with them too, as do others as I've discovered. And now you too!
