Re: Coil

I bought an Intermotor one but it kept failing, the car would cut out whilst driving. I would have to remove the leads from the coil wait a few seconds, put them back on and carry on driving. So I cleaned the old one up, put it back on and been ok since.

I've copyrighted it now. If anyone should copy, use or display it then it will be an infringement and you shall owe me £6,800,642. Or a new old stock perfect uncracked dash top. Whichever is the most expensive.

Keep calm and Capri on :)

Re: The C word

Its the 3 months leading up to Christmas i hate. The day is fine but the social pressure is ridiculous. That`s exactly my point. It's a good point and it does get earlier each year it seems, will be starting in January before long. Aside from the obvious reasons of commercialism and money making, I...

Re: weird words ?

It's getting a bit late, think I shall go into the kitchen and make a brew, before I turn the light off in the kitchen and turn in. Might watch Saturday kitchen at weekend before I go to B & Q to look at the new kitchen range. Hope it's not pathetic.

Get out for an hour or two on a busy road at peak time Andrew, and you won't be starting threads like this again!

...it feels like it could be wrong to drill holes and put a spoiler on a tailgate that did not have one before... Agreed, I'm with you on that one Mike. It's up to you of course, but I think that I'd sell it on to someone who will hopefully use it as it is. Especially if tailgates in general are as...

Rules are changing all the time though Dan. Make sure you check things out, it's the only way to avoid a very bad day.

Re: Insurance Small Print - Beware!

One thing about all that we've discuused here, is the fact that when you insure your car you should have total peace of mind and relax in the fact that, in the event of disaster you have your insurance company on your side to help. I feel anything but with Adrian Flux, don't want to be insured with ...

There are bad cyclists just as there are bad drivers. I see many drivers jump red lights.

Re: That old wheel wobble.

I would (and in fact I am going to do), buy new track control arms with standard bushes already fitted, and put those on. There can be side effects from using poly bushes such as a harsher ride as they have much less give.

Re: Advice for patching a seat

Like you, I've often wondered about a patch repair also. How about buying a cheap (wrecked) donor seat, or finding a similar material and cutting the required patch from it, and maybe using an upholstery glue to apply it, or something like that?

Re: Insurance Small Print - Beware!

Not if your policy says it is 'normally' kept in the garage, you normally do garage it but on the rare occasion you don't it gets damaged. In order to have had it, the policy would have to say it is 'always' garaged You'll always be charged if the change affects cover. If it does not, different ins...

Re: Bumper Repair Which Paint

Any advice as to what to use as regards to filler on the bumper. It's a small area of flaking paint, some rust underneath. I intended to sand it all away, treat the rust, fill, prime, paint. Sounds so easy when you type it! Just use normal body filler?
