Got a 1.6 Laser that'll be broken in a week or two. The engine is lowish mileage (about 63k) but hasn't run since 2003............and now Beakster's got the loom on it's way to him I won't be able to run it that easy. Would anyone be interested in it? There's many different sizes and shapes, but as long as it clears the engine and any other bits in the way, then the routing of it makes no real difference. It simply serves to complete the fourth side of a square formed by the struts and the x-member, thus stopping the strut tops flexing in or out ...

Just a bit concerned about your description though. Do you really mean 'where it meets the bottom ball joint' ? If that doesn't cure it, check your rear light units aren't cracked around the two mounting screws. They earth through those screws. Do them up too tight, it cracks the housing and throws up some really weird and wonderful earthing faults!

Might be the adjuster that's sticking? Just to confirm though............ you didn't physically tighten the adjuster against the belt did you? You should loosen it and turn the engine 2 complete turns by hand. The spring should tension the adjuster correctly, then you simply nip up the locking bolt....
