Between 10 and 12 degrees? Is this just to test with or are you running with this timing? Is this the unleaded figure? As I have set mine to 8 degrees.

Well if it is the 1.6 in mine and not the 2.0 diff, then I think the acceleration is poor, mind you, it has got daft wheels on it that probably cancels and benefits out.

Which ratio will be quicker accelerating? I presume it will be the 1.6?

Think that's a capacitor and is just wired in line with the feed to the coil, on mine the feed comes from the ignition, through the ballast resistor to the bottom wire of that capacitor the the other wire plugs on the coil, the wire is black with a green stripe.

hi all, this might be a daft question, but how are replacement drip rails supposed to be used fitted? the reason i ask is, are the replacements an original part? or a short cut because the originals are part of the inner wings?
