Re: Axle differences

I don't actually know the piston diameter, I would have to google it, they were on the car when bought. The hand brake does need adjusting. If I drive with it up, say, four clicks, it has little difference to it rolling but the pedal travel is reduced a bit. Nb, brakes have already been bled and do ...

Re: Axle differences

What's the benefit of using the land rover master cylinder? I have read that it bolts straight on to the servo? The reason for the questions is, again, My car is a two litre, it has the 8 inch drums, I don't know what diff is in or the ratio. I have another axle with the 9 inch drums, laid in the ga...

Re: compression

Between 10 and 12 degrees? Is this just to test with or are you running with this timing? Is this the unleaded figure? As I have set mine to 8 degrees.

Re: Axle differences

Well if it is the 1.6 in mine and not the 2.0 diff, then I think the acceleration is poor, mind you, it has got daft wheels on it that probably cancels and benefits out.

Axle differences

Hi,

Can someone please explain the different axle types on the mk3 please. The one on the car has 8inch drums, the one in the garage has 9inch drums? I want to know what they both are and what they are off please?

Which ones had the slipper fitted to it?

Cheers Neil.

Re: Rogue Wire

Think that's a capacitor and is just wired in line with the feed to the coil, on mine the feed comes from the ignition, through the ballast resistor to the bottom wire of that capacitor the the other wire plugs on the coil, the wire is black with a green stripe.

wing drip rails

hi all, this might be a daft question, but how are replacement drip rails supposed to be used fitted? the reason i ask is, are the replacements an original part? or a short cut because the originals are part of the inner wings?
