Re: Temp and fuel gauge annoyance

Ok thanks.. I have just dismantled the dash, soldered on a Capri club replacement voltage regulator and same. Took spade connectors off and on sender, seemed ok, but sometimes no reading at all. Put back in seems ok but just reads full but off the scale. It’s always done that. I don’t think much of...

Bitumen pads. I get them from Kent International. Cut them to shape , warm up with a hot air gun and fit them.

Re: Heater box

The one you have looks like one from a early MK1 heater box. I supply the new ones for the BEHR heater box used in the later MK2 and all MK3 heater boxes.

Re: Pinto Throttle Cable

Anyone know where to get a throttle cable?? CCI and Tickover have both been sold out for about two/three weeks and I'm in desperate need of one (will make sense after I have updated my project thread with my newest (currently, soon not to be) top secret project) Ta much! Sorry, thought you meant pi...

Re: Loom connector

As I suspected, it's the connector for the rear wiper switch on the early MK2 models

Re: Loom connector

It's close to the cig lighter and clock wiring , looks like it's on a MK2 so I would think it is one of the switches in the fascia below the heater panel or possibly one of the switches that early MK2 had in the lower dash panel next to the ashtray.

I then went on to explain it was on Saturday nights about Tea time. They both left the room shaking there heads and saying '' no wonder its not on anymore''. What...

Re: 2.8 injection engine re build

I have found that the aftermarket caps for the 2.8i usually need the little tabs closing up slightly in order to make a good seal on the neck of the radiator.

Anyone been watching the re-runs of it Ain't half hot mum on Talk TV. They were brilliant.

Yes Paul I have, terrific! I have noticed censorship in a lot of these older shows being broadcast though, which is a shame.

Re: Metal plate removal

It's for the dim dip system, simply pull the wiring apart at the red plug.
