Re: Fixing tailgate badge to paintwork
I didn't like the idea of glue or epoxy so used all purpose silicon sealant. Had to leave the hatch up overnight whilst it went off but seems to work - it's still there 2 years on anyway.

Happened to read his theory this a.m. not looked again since and much as I enjoy driving my Capri I'd take the brakes in my Mazda 6 any day especially on the motorway. The Capri may lock up if you prod hard enough but they can scare the crap out of you first!

Re: This is why my post was ignored
<t>Wary about replying in case it encouraged people to read it and spoil the ending if they hadn't watched it yet. But yes, a great series - mostly - and I loved the start a couple of weeks back that parodied Trumpton with Gene Hunt whacking some guy with a dustbin lid. Brilliant!<br/> <br/> It'll b...

Pinto flywheels
May be a silly question but is there any difference between the flywheel on a 1.6 and a 2.0 Capri. Thanks

Hammerite
I would only use it on the main part of the bar after a clean. The bit that is sleeved I dabbed some copper grease on before I put mine back together as the hammerite would probably wear off.

This might be wrong but..
<t>Is the bit between yout thumb and the thread actually a metal sleeve or has that already come off? If it is a sleeve it should come off and then the large washer thing will slide off too. I'm guessing it is a sleeve and it is held on to the roll bar by rust so I would try heating it up and then c...

Re: Oh yeah and...
Not defending the guy but wasn't the original Del Boy Capri a Mk11 that became a Mk111 in later series? Anybody know?
Re: Up Date
Can't you see enough of the bolt to drill it out if the seat is pushed right forward on the runner? If not you could try drilling it out from underneath as I'm sure the bot extends through the floor to a nut welded onto the underside. It's only the front ones that you can't get to I'm sure.

Re: Sunroof seal do you have to take the
Can be done with the roof tilted. I think I started mine off with the roof slid back as it's easier to get at then slide the roof back and tilt it to do the rest.
Bolted
You need to take the door cards and rear cards off and you will find small bolts. Go careful though as they are prone to snapping when you try to undo them.

Re: Levered it out with a screwdriver
Had this sort of thing a couple of times when I've taken the tank out. The bl**dy things are never as empty as you think and by the time you realise petrol is pi$$ing all over the place.

Re: Painting Question
<t>I started off with an Apollo Spraymaster and they really aren't bad. I've moved up to an air compressor which is probably a bit small for car painting and I would say the results are very similar to the Spraymaster although I do not claim to be especially competent at spraying!<br/> Only down sid...

What sort of ticking?
Presumably you have checked that it's not an alternator blade or a warped fan blade catching on something. Last ticking I had was caused by the cam belt cover missing the middle plastic insert. Could it be anything like that?
Bit of a bugger on the sheared bolt though.
