Re: Mk2 bumpers
Chrome ones you mean? Second hand? Keep an eye on ebay, forums etc. I got mine from there a good while ago now, hate to think what prices are like these days! Not aware of anyone making new ones

Re: Road wheels
For 7" an offset of about et5 would work fine (standard for pepperpots or 7 spokes), can get away with a few extra either side of that I'm sure

Re: Spark plugs
I haven't used the car much in the past few years. I've done bike carb upgrade and Megajolt recently and haven't finished ironing out the kinks, including timing and jetting. ASAP such, I don't think it uses oil, although there was evidence of an oil leak somewhere at some point (by dizzy shaft) Rep...

Lots of options, not sure which is right though. I did all this for mine, but don't remember what I bought sorry!

Re: What are these holes for? What size bolt?
I'm going to leave the dizzy in place for now, for that reason, and also in case it doesn't work. I think people usually use a cut down shaft and a blanking plug. Anyone able to hazard a guess at the bolt sizes? Nothing in my box of bits seems close, although it's such random stuff that's not saying...

Re: Look ma, no dizzy!
Probably not going to use switchable maps, not sure there's much benefit? Rev limiter is probably sensible, will look into it at some point. The sensor bracket was actually done by my dad. He's much more practical at that sort of thing, and just did it, basically!

Up and running with megajolt. Just waiting on an adaptor so I can upload an ignition map and tune the thing. Only took me 7 years!

The ones next to the inlet manifold, not the top of the dizzy

Re: Mk3 bumper
I have mk2 chrome bumpers, used the brackets for mk2 items for the rear, have a feeling the front are the same as standard mk3 ugly ones. It's pretty straightforward, just unbolt the originals and rebolt the new ones. It will leave holes in the wings unfortunately. I taped over the holes, filled it ...

Coilpack location?
With this coronavirus business, my work on the capri has accelerated (from glacially slow to a snail's pace). Something I read said to use Ford Ka HT leads to fit the coilpack. They're quite short though. The coil will need to be mounted about here for it to work. I'll need to rig up a bracket, but ...

Re: What size and width wheels can I run, coils. Help me figure out my set up!!
I've done a fair bit of research on this over the years, but my notes are at work, and I can't remember all the details. I'll scribble down some thoughts as they come to me while I play around with a wheel calculator. I ran 206/60/13 on 4 spokes (ET 19) . This gives 95.2mm from the centre line in to...

Hahah, yeah lol! Will have to wait until I can get a pic of the two together. Or I could just go back to a Capri one!
