i know what you mean.iv looked into other v8s myself,lexus,bmw etc and im in the same mind set as you....i dont want to open bonnet and just see plastic i like the old school approuch

i think the main problem over here now is most specialist shops have disappeared and the rover convo is quite a old style of conversion and the companys that did do the kits and are still about no longer have them in there stock.... If worst comes to worst i'll convert to hydraulic clutch but i pref...

hi all im after a set of mk2 bumpers with brackets realy but not a problem if aint...all they need to be is straight im not bothered if there pitted or anything as ill be reconditioned anyway or let me know where i could get them from second hand or new pick up with in reason from barnsley area hope...

sorry for late reply thanks for info mate.iv rang round acouple of places and it looks like i might be able to use a 2.8 5 speeed box with uprated bearings im just after a bellhousing to suit with machanical clutch if anyone can help?

i think im going to try and modify the ford clutch arm in conjunction with the lt77 box and belhousing and see where we go from there

Caprisport used to do the V8 conversion years ago. Not sure if they still do now. Maybe worth a try contacting them. yeah i have a lt77 complete in shed didn't want to go down the hydraulic route though,mmmm maybe i can convert the lt77 to manual clutch
