Handbrake Switch
My handbrake Switch and brake fluid warning light is not working. I haven't checked the lamp yet but will do that soon. I have restored the MK3 laser but never got the warning light to work. Just wanted a bit of help of the location of the handbrake Switch and what colour cables will be going to thi...
Re: Radiator
I have removed my viscous fan on my pinto and bought an electric fan from eBay a while back. Made a alloy plate to fit where the old cowling was and mounted the fan onto that. Also added in a temperature sensor switch from maplins which is dead easy to wire up. Just mounted the unit to the alloy pla...

Another start problem and it is not a negative issue
Hi All I have had problems from the start and I have always thought it was a negative issue. After re wiring, putting the battery in the boot, new twin 40's, new edge 1.4kw starter and a retune my pinto 2.0 will struggle to start when cold. It almost sounds like the the engine is too advanced and tr...

Electronic ignition problem
Hello everyone I have a very strange problem with my accuspark ignition. When the engine is cold everything seems to be fine but when the heat starts to set in then it starts to act like a rev limiter. At first it was kicking in at 2500rpm then the other day at 3000 and today at 5000. I did adjust t...

Capri laser MOT FAILURE!!
Hello everyone. Just wanted some advice on my MOT failure for excessive play with the steering. I am very confused as last year it passed and now the examiner women says it's a fail. I haven't touched anything and said to her that it's an old car and they all do it as it's a rack and pinion. I was t...

Re: Battery Relocation Help
I have converted my battery to the boot and it fits fine. I placed mine in the centre and snug against the backseats. I can still have easy access to the spare wheel without any adjustments. Just get some decent battery cable or some long jump leads and your in business. Lift up the carpet and I thi...

Re: Electronic Ignition or not ?
I put an electronic ignition in my laser with twin 40s 2 days ago and it sounds and runs 10x better. Reliability will be much higher as your not using anything with moving parts. I bought the accuspark kit with a timing gun and set it all up. Only problem was that the module which fits in the dizzy ...
