Re: Dr Brooklands

He had a Mustang last time I spoke with him in 2018! He had a Mk3 with a Mustang engine in too! I wonder what's happened to that, I haven't seen any photos of it at shows. Andrew. Edit: I've just checked and the MOT expired in September '21. Ah the 5.0 Coyote :) Not sure but it might of went ...

It's actually a car dealer that owns it and he has several Classic Fords, some he uses occasionally I think.

Re: Dr Brooklands

The last time I looked he was selling up all his stock and the website too so looks like he has finshed. I checked brooklands280.com on the Wayback Machine website and there was a notice on the mainpage in November last year saying that Dr B's website was closing for good. Interestingly, the last M...

Re: Weston super Mare Pageant of Transport, March 30/31st 2024

It's like people have become so entitled that they think any opinion that doesn't ally with their own must be destroyed. Instead of people thinking we have all had different life experiences, so we have different opinions. People are being taught to think they are 'right' and anyone different is 'w...

Re: Weston super Mare Pageant of Transport, March 30/31st 2024

I've been watching some of the Little Britain repeats, that certainly wouldn't get on T/V now  Surprised the repeats are on :? They were out of favour for a while. From Google: "In June 2020, the show was removed from various UK streaming services due to its use of blackface. In March 202...

Re: Weston super Mare Pageant of Transport, April 30/31st 2024

Pardon me, but how does the location being "used recently" relate to the 30 and 31st of next month? Some vehicles went there last week and got bogged down and had to be recovered due to rain.... and that magically means the same location will be damaged 60 odd days later so it's cancelled...

Re: New Car Programme on TV Soon

You have to have someone to whinge about on car shows, Tim on Car Sausage, Mike Brewer on Wheeler Dealers, Drew Pritchard on Salvage Hunters Classic Cars, seems quite common :D  Like the old days of comedy, it's deliberate to have the straight guy and the comic :) Looking forward to Dream Car...

I wouldn't have thought that anybody actually believes the blagging of parts and services to be genuine. Why even have it in the show?

Re: Weston super Mare Pageant of Transport, April 30/31st 2024

Update from organiser; This week we have had advice from the council regarding the beach lawns. They were used recently for an event for vehicle parking and in turn some vehicle struggled to get off the lawn and needed towing which has caused considerable damage to the lawns surface. This is down to...
