Re: Whining

I have a, ahem, GCSE English <sips from glass of bubbly and titters in drawing room> Whats "Bubbly and titters" ? This reminds me... A panda walks into a café. He orders a sandwich, eats it, then draws a gun and fires two shots in the air. "Why?" asks the confused waiter, as the...

That's a disappointment.
Thanks for the heads up.

Re: New Car Programme on TV Soon

Tim is.... who knows? I remember him from the Balls of Steel TV series. I would imagine Tim's part on Car SOS has been added to make the programme appeal to the masses. I agree though, I wouldn't have thought that anybody actually believes the blagging of parts and services to be genuine. Why even ...

wanted front bumper irons and rear mounting brackets mk 3 :crying: My first port of call would be Martin at Caprigear or Capri Club international. Re: Whining

If the noise changes when you come on and off the accelerator, I would be inclined to think the source could be diff related, perhaps the first thing to do would be to check the oil level.
It could also be worn gears or a bearing in the diff.

People that ask for help/advice and don't have the manners to say thanks or update a thread with the outcome are the worst on any forum  If somebody works out a solution for their issues, it would be nice if they updated the thread so that we know they don't need any further assistance, but a...

Dr Brooklands

Hi,
Does anybody know the Dr Brooklands website address?
An Internet search returns no relevant results, I assume Dr B has taken the site down but I would like to be certain.
A shame if the site has disappeared as it was very useful for research purposes.

Thanks in advance,
Andrew.

It's quite an eye-opener to see what is lurking under the surface!
Still, it all looks good now. Presumably you are just having the repaired bits painted, not the whole car?

Re: A funny forum passtime...

It can often be troublesome asking for payments for an online service when so much online is free, especially if it's a forced donation. Nothing comes for free. Don't most free to use websites gain revenue by selling advertising? I believe that a minimum subscription fee of at least £5 per annum fo...

Re: 3.0S

At the Mathewson's price it was a restoration project, at the price it is now I would be expecting something ready to drive that needed some work as and when needed. I agree with that. When I first read the listings, I got mixed up and thought the Matthewson's sale price was what the new seller was...

Sorry Andrew, I`d assumed that was clear: I do apologize for any perceived association ;) No worries! The more I think about the advert the less it makes sense to me. The roll cage, motorsport-type electrics isolator and the CC Racing Developments sticker on the boot lid all suggest a modifi...

Re: A funny forum passtime...

There's usually around 30 requests a day that I ignore because they are not genuine. 30 a day! That's crazy! Why not suggest that every application is supported by a £5 Paypal donation? That would help support the running of the forum and weed out any non-genuine requests. I don't believe that to b...

Re: A funny forum passtime...

Does it show who has actually logged in as well as posted? I can understand not posting, but making an account and never logging in is a bit (AI bot) weird. You can painstakingly check each one individually to see the date of last activity. Of the last 25 people to join the forum, 17 appear never t...

Just curious, how do you even find new users if they`ve never posted? (Probably my being thick...) Click on "Members" in the blue bar at the bottom, then sort by join date. Of the last 25 people to have joined, 7 have actually posted. While I'm boring everybody with stats, of the 382,845 ...
