Re: wanted 2.8 injection grey cloth recaro seats

Hi, You were unlcky to miss out on that seat, it was a bargain. What parts of the seat are worn? I,m assuming that it's the bolster on the seat base and on the back rest, both on the side nearest the door? It's quite some time since I repaired mine, but the gist of the repair is that you separate th...

Hi Steve,
Threaten to go elsewhere. BT most likely have a team who specialise in customer retention, they are more likely to offer you what you want.

All the best,

Hi,
If you're looking for a dashtop in very good condition with no cracks, your best option with this request is to regularly moniter Ebay.

Re: wanted 2.8 injection grey cloth recaro seats

Hi, These are quite difficult to find in good condition, as they were only fitted to '83 and early '84 model year cars. Therefore all the material is at least 31 years old. You may be in for a long search for good complete seats. If you're prepared to put in a bit of effort you should be able to sour...

Re: capri mk3 rear bumper wanted

Hi,
If you aren't fussy about originality, the bumpers are available as brand new repro items.
Martin and the Capri Club can supply either the repro ones or good condition genuine ones, if you prefer.

All the best,
Andrew.

Re: Practical Classics Magazine

Any decisions made yet Andrew. Standard one, collector's, both, or none of the above?! Hi Paul, I've given the situation a great deal of consideration and, in balance, I feel that the poster is not worth the extra outlay. I'm looking forward to reading the articles in the magazine though. Does anyo...

Have you got any pictures of the finished dash fitted, are you pleased with the finish round the vents and eyeballs. Hi, Unfortunately, it's still an ongoing project. I just haven't had time to work on it any more since the last post of that thread. The finish and gap around the rectangular vents i...

Hi Dave,
Thanks for posting the links.
The badges don't look like bad quality, but they look a little thicker than the ones I have on the car at the moment. Dodgy camera angle maybe? Hard to tell.

All the best,
Andrew.

Hi Steve,
That's exactly what I was thinking. The non-original ones in Dave's links look just as good to me.

Hi,
As the others have said, that's a fantastic RS1600i. In fact, you've got such a brilliant car collection, you should open your own fast Ford museum! :)

Re: capri club dash top

Hi, To elaborate, you have to find a way of attaching the existing frame to the new dashtop. It's easy on the driver's side because you can use some small self-tappers to secure it. However, things are more difficult on the passenger side as there is nothing on the original but the foam padding. You...

Hi Andy,
Thanks for the heads up.
They do look like the correct light blue in the photo, and £30 is a reasonable price. Does anyone have an opinion about whether they are genuine or not?
