Mysterious Vibration......

On a brake tester there is little to no imbalance accross the front and no warping of any kind or siezed calipers etc etc. I changed the front discs and pads to EBC drilled and grooved because initially I th...

Re: Squealing front right hand wheel

as above, check for a binding brake. Also resurface the pads and disc faces with some emery paper. Does it go away when you put your fut on the brake whist driving?

Re: brooklands 280 seats

As above brooklands interiors are extortionate if mint because they are so rare in such condition. That said they dont appear all that often on ebay in any condition, let alone mint!!!

I'd sell you mine, but you'd need to take them with the car.... :xd:

Hammerite Has a shade of bright blue that is astonishingly close to Bilstein Blue, assuming by legs you mean the struts. These 2 pictures show mine and that was done with the Hammerite Spray. Use it in a well ventilated area though and wear a mask. the fumes are NASTY!!!!!!!!!! http://img717.imagesh...

Re: Quick Brakes Question

I would say, given that it lives outside, that the cause of your hard pedal is corrosion build up on the braking surfaces, and / or sticking calipers and pad slides. It normally would clean up with use, but if its been sitting a while a strip down, of the front particularly would defiinately help. S...

Re: 2.8i Special DETAILING ENGINE BAY

1) You shouldnt have any problems disconnecting the fuel pipes at the metering head, just make sure you put them back on to the correct terminals, which if I am honet is hard not to do as they are pretty well shaped. You shouldnt have a problem resuing the washers, I never have and mine have been of...

Re: Engine Bay Detailing...whodunnit......

280 I like that a lot.. and with you all the way.. just everything nice and clean and not overbling. Lovely that is. Cheers, thats sort of what I was going for, just so I can open the bonnet at a show, not for the WOW factor, but just so its nice and tidy. Looking at that pic br280 I was wrong in t...

Re: Engine Bay Detailing...whodunnit......

I didnt go too daft, no chrome or anything, just tidy and I try to keep on top of it which actually takes a bit of doing. Since this picture was taken however it now has stainless steel strut top nuts, and I took all the paint off the metering pump and polished it, replacing the banjo bolts with bra...

Re: 2.8 Special

Ooh EBC.... like it. Made a collosal difference to mine I have to admit, although you need to get them heated up a bit before they are at their best. Good choice of the green stuf pads over red though, the red's are too hard for road use I reckon.... NO BRAKES WHEN COLD!!!
