I did read on the internet somewhere that it's being discontinued by Castrol. Whether that's internet rubbish (there's a lot of that around!), I don't know.

Thanks Steve, I thought (and maybe still think) that it was one of those electronic points replacement kits, in which case I think with those you leave the coil as it is, and give a new 12v feed to the module (often from that spare bulkhead wire).

Shouldn't the existing coil be wired through the ballast resistor though (as standard), and the new constant 12v (i.e. spare wire at the bulkhead) connect to the electronic ignition. That was quick! It's looking pretty good so far.

In keeping with what Andrew says above, a super hot summer's day (unlikely I know!) helps, you know, when the body is just too hot to touch and sitting inside the car makes you melt, stickers come off far easier when it's like that.
