Re: Window door frame

Same as any other metal really, flat them back, prime & then paint satin black. Always best done removed from the car & prepped before being sprayed with a proper spray gun but rattle can in situ can work if the budget is snug

Re: Original 2.8i list price

Ooh what a great thing to have ;) They were the private buyers bible back in the 80's & 90's, before the interweb thats how you valued a car Interesting for me because mine is a March 1981, dont suppose you have scanned all of the Capri pages have you, would be great to add to my info folder for...

Re: Prices are dropping of late I've noticed.

What really baffles me is who is shelling out that kind of money on cars like this, Wrong interior completely, obviously been given a quick blow over and tart up. Exhaust system looks a total lash up, Engine bay looks total shite and that's after only having glanced for a few seconds. You have to a...

Re: The new alert system

I think that the most of it is spread by the younger people who frankly feel "entitled" and don't give a flying fuck about anyone else other than themselves and their own entertainment. By this I mean all of them crowded into pubs, bars and cafes and more sinister these illegal raves goin...

Re: does anyone recognise this capri

Its a bitsa, so long as folks know its a bitsa thats fine & it will find its value, but to the uninitiated, someone could pay way too much as the advert leads you to believe its a genuine model.

For us longer term owners, we know that there was no such thing as a 2.8 Ghia in the UK ;)

Re: New Car Programme on TV Soon

Thanks for the heads up ;) definitely one of the best car shows for a while, refreshingly a distinct lack of BS

Looks like series 3 is starting on Thursday 22nd October at 8pm

Re: Bonnet Scoop/Vents

If you have a basic understanding of aerodynamics and fluid flow, then maybe you'd consider the other option. Instead of trying to force more air into the engine bay, which will need to displace what is already there, you could consider raising the rear edge of the bonnet instead. The airflow over ...

Use her, enjoy her, go to some shows when they start again, look after her doing whatever needs doing when it crops up.

Re: Advice / Opinions

Personally I would put a new MOT on it and service items so any new owner doesn't have that to deal with, also a good clean inside and out so the car looks it's best. Low owner/mileage original cars seem to be sought after, but anything rust free should be the priority. Capri prices are all over th...
