I've searched through like tck suggested, but can't fiind the answer, so I'll carry on here.
So, are you telling me that, as my Mk2 has no sunroof, that any windscreen from a non-sunroof Mk2 or Mk3 will fit?
And does the same go for the rubber?

Re: Laser rear end
There is no difference in ride height from Laser to 2.8i springs.they all came off the same rack in the factory originally. If you lower the front end of a Capri the rear will tend to follow (a mate and I both put 1" lower springs on the front..I put 1" blocks on the back,he didn't bother....

Re: Supercharged 24v capri...an update...and MOT question?
Think you may be right except with one caveat............... Have you got an LSD diff? If so, then they are not supposed to do the rear brake test on rollers as the diff gives false readings and you can also damage it if you brake too much on just one wheel. So, they take it for a run with a deceler...

Windscreen Mk2/3 query
I've heard various rumours about a change of windscreen size during the life of the Mk3 but what I need to know is this; I've got a Mk2 with the chrome insert in the w/s rubber. The rubber is starting to look perished and the corner of the screen is delaminating. 1. Are Mk2 and 3 screens the same? 2...

Re: Decisions, decisions...
Had a mate who bought a 2.0i Sierra (write-off) purely to use the 5-speed box on his 2.0GL Capri. After a look over it we swapped the entire Injected engine and box, plus 2.8i fuel tank, 2.8i suspension etc. He had the engine lightened and balanced etc whilst it was out. At the end he rolling roaded...

Re: FREE tailgates
In Northwold, from Norwich go down A11 to Thetford, turn right on A134, past Mundford, next village.... Got three left with spoiler holes but otherwise complete and in good nick. The other one is off an early Mk2.....no spoiler, no wiper and no HRW (though I'm looking at a Mk2 on Saturday and may ne...

Simplest idea is to tell us where you are and maybe someone on here will be close enough to come over and give you their help/opinion!

Re: Engine serial numbers...
If your engine is the original then it's number should be the last 2 letters and all the numbers off your VIN.
However, the combination you quote sounds good to me.

Can't believe I got that wrong!
Of course the filler plug is on the casing, not the backplate. Sorry for the mis-information.

Re: Harry Hill's TV Burp
Saw it! Did you notice it didn't seem to have a towbar though? The horsebox jockey wheel stayed down and it looked like they had to 'freeze frame' the shot of it driving away. Glad it wasn't mine though...they gave the bonnet a good kicking as they went over it. Still....no such thing as bad publici...
