Re: half way through replacing my heater motor - and a quest
Its all done and bloody working to! I'm very pleased with myself I got to tell you. Quite a mission isn't it. Took more or less all day. Getting the heater box out was not actually that tricky, and replacing the motor was simple enough. Getting the heater box back in the car was time consuming thoug...

half way through replacing my heater motor - and a question
Hi all. So I bit the bullet and by following the instructions helpfully provided on this site in the "Work" section "heater motor removal and replacement" I've got the lower dash panels out and ready to remove the glove box... but its dark now so will carry on tomorrow. One point...

Thanks for the info about the bulbs. Later that day I got inspired, pulled the switches out and with fine sandpaper cleaned all the contacts. Bingo, both lights working now

Great to hear the "bit of oil" solution has lasted so well for you Andrew.
As for the front valance, no I'm afraid I haven't done anything on that yet. I will, but probably not for a while
Cheers!

Bad news / Good news... mostly good

All other pages in the book look present and correct, but not the one I need right now.. what are the c...

That will be fantastic! Very jealous.
When you get to the Riviera, turn right, carry straight on for 5 hours and pop in for tea.
Best of luck and have fun

Thanks Mike, yes I literally did feel sick for a while. An absolute miracle it wasn't worse. I'll put some pics up of where it ended up and you'll see what I mean. Had to be dragged out with a 4x4, wooden planks under the wheels and everything!

Its true I can't move at the speed of light any more, but it was dark so I think I would have noticed if the front lights were coming on too I reckon. But I washed and polished her today, and now all is forgiven  I put some pics up in Members Cars earlier. Thanks for your suggestions so far.

A few pics of the damage I caused. My 1982 2.8
Hello All Here's a few pics of the 2.8 I bought a few weeks ago now. It was in better nick when I bought it, but that was before I found out about rear wheel drive and how unforgiving of idiots it is. Left the road and smashed the front valance & spoiler :( Other than that, I'm cock-a-hoop with ...
