Very good points. In addition to this, there are more people than ever in the country now, and constantly increasing, we all need somewhere to live don't we. New estates, housing complexes, apartment conversions, all seems to be full straight away, many sold even before they are built.

I'm sure you know but you can get reproduction ones. CapriGear has them advertised at £37.50 plus carriage. I've frequently heard that Hackney taxi cab mirrors fit, never tried one though.
