Hi,
I haven't tried them myself, but this place might be able to supply a reconditioned item on an exchange basis.

Hi, I've suffered form the problem Peter describes with some TRE's I bought from Ebay (I think they were branded Firstline). As Peter says, the thread is the same and they are identical to look at, but the thread does not go deep enough to allow the ends to be turned enough times to bring the wheels...

Always interested in anything from any of my multitude of heroes. Righto, I'll let you know if I hear anything else that may be of interest. Johnnie Walker's show always has interviews with a personality from the 70's, so it may be worth checking the Radio 2 website every now and again for details....

Personally, I would go stainless because they sound better and last longer than a mild steel system. Just go for a relatively small bore tailpipe that won't be too much of a departure from the standard look.

Andrew.

I doubt it, judging by your list you haven't made any modifications that would significantly affect premiums.
Try calling Coops for a quote when your policy is due for renewal.

Then there's the £365 to reinstate standard calipers, discs, pads and assorted brake paraphernalia.
All adds up.....

The Blue one is ok but has some aftermarket bits that I would want to remove or replace so too much as is Hi, I agree. It looks like somebody has covered the front of the car in glue and then driven around Halfords accessory department and kept what was stuck on! :D Then there's the standard radio ...

Hi Andy,
I also remember this car and video from last time around. It does look stunning, but I'm not so sure that there will be much interest at £12.5K, sadly.
I'm eagerly waiting for photos of this 1800 miler that's about to be put on sale on Pistonheads.
All the best,
Andrew.

Hi Andy,
Good spot. I thought that the white car was £14999. I must be out of touch! I've edited the original post to reflect your comment.
I've got to confess that I quite like the look of the blue one....although the price is still too high for my tastes!
All the best,
Andrew.

Hi Burt, I haven't actually replaced mine, although I have removed and refitted it, which is much the same thing. It's easy enough to do. First, disconnect the battery for safety. Disconnect the vacuum pipe and the wiring plug from the WUR and undo the two fuel unions, be prepared with a cloth or tw...

Should I name and shame or just get another supplier Hi There, I know it's frustrating. I've had the same lack of communication from two Capri traders/breakers. What you'll find though, is that some traders may give terrible service to one person, and another person will have had only positive expe...

We're going there too, Singleton Park on 4th. Let us know, see you there Andrew, are you exhibiting your car? Hi Rob, Yes, that's the one. I'll be exhibiting the Capri if the weather is OK. If not, I'll just go in the MR2 for a look around. Are you going in/exhibiting the Mini? Either way, I'll pro...

Re: SIMPLY FORD UPDATE
Hi Andy, I echo Nick's sentiments about the weather. Not only is it a chore cleaning the car after a long wet motorway drive, but it's no fun sitting in the car all day at the event, waiting for a short dry spell. As Nick says, I'll wait until much closer to the time before making a final judgement....
