Re: Lowering day now confirmed....

It will be fine nick, trust me. You could go 2" on the front but once it settles, you risk catching the valence on exiting petrol stations etc if uneven. The ride can also be a little crashy which never bothered me but it might bother you? You may also need to heat & fettle the over axle pi...

Re: Wedding Day Pictures

Swan Vestas will be fine mate 8-) The Hi-Spec kit is good too. A little expensive compared to upgrading using parts from the Ford bin but you get what you pay for. Willwoods are my personal favourite but cost ££££. One small but great tip for those of you running a std laser on std brakes - Upgrade ...

Re: Wedding Day Pictures

I should say that the above hunk of solid mahogany is NOT a chopping board lol. It was laser burnt to look like a JD bottle by a guy in a shed.

Cost a pretty penny but it is unique.

I got my Dad a personalised wooden chopping board on ebay a few years ago. Great product, great price too.

Re: Car SOS Ford Capri 3100 !!!!

I enjoyed it but they didn't have to try and make us think that the owner thought they had a genuine RS when you could clearly see from a mile away it wasn't! TV drama I suppose. Nice power from an Essex too but I think I would've fitted a 5speed box.

Re: Wheely excited....

I think you will end up using 145lb -1" or 2" coils up front (Use rally design as much cheaper than Burtons) and -1.5" rear blocks. This will make it sit 'Just right' once new springs have settled. Then you need more POWER!!!!!!!!!! Thanks very much for the info Dave. This is really ...

Re: Wheely excited....

Good choice Nick..... I was thinking of getting these wheels for mine in the future if my 13" tyres get close to wearing out. I'll be interested to hear how you feel it drives after changing them over. I was a little concerned that it would firm the ride up too much with the lower profile, how...

Don't worry too much Nick, Ref my Post on your wheel thread.. You won't need to use any additive when the Vulcan Ultimax big valve head gets fitted as it will have hardended valve seats........ Just saying

I have used the Aldon kit many times. I think in fact it was myself that recommended it to Nick and others. Worth the extra. Avoid accuspark like the plague!

It's too difficult to shut the tailgate on a mk3 with a semi erect tent in the boot! (There were witnesses) A never to be forgotten moment :xd: Nor will my Nephews face be forgotten when I sold the car to him with it still in the boot! It popped out of the boot and put itself up in the drive! :mrgr...
